I am so excited for all things fall including the weather. It’s been a scorcher in NYC.

(For those of you that are trying to make sure you pack you breakfast or lunch)

I have tried different containers@ to keep my oatmeal and soups Hot 🔥
This container and glass inset by Swell passes the test every time. The inner glass or plastic container keeps food hot or cold for a long time.
They are a little pricey , but cheaper to bring your lunch, so it is an investment.

I love meals that you can throw together with whatever you have on hand. This masterpiece (😉)was put together with

-Box of taco shells
-Veggies for toppings - grabbed what I had on hand - get creative
-Prepared lentils ( or you can batch cook a bag for very $) but these are so great for me after a long day 😎
-Avocado
-Salsa or tomatillo sauce
-Sprinkle of cheese if you like

Lentils are a plant based protein and…great source of
✅B vitamins
✅Iron
✅Magnesium
✅Potassium
✅zinc.
🌿They’re also a great source of plant-based protein and fiber.

instead of a cocktail, I made a Mocktail with sparkling water and just a splash of pomegranate juice😊

yes, you can get 15 to 20 g of Greek yogurt in a large carton for cheaper than individual drink - one cup Greek yogurt has about 15 to 20 g of protein.
If you just want an easy, quick, something you can run out the door with - this is a nice option and it tastes great 😊
Bonus ✅3 g of fiber

Weekly food prep time-super helpful to save money, and wanted to share a few of my new Costco favorites. Even as a single person buying in bulk can be very helpful and cheap. The key is to make sure that you plan it all out so your best intentions don’t rot in the drawer
- not pictured
-frozen berries, pineapple, mango, broccoli
-fresh spinach and peppers- (I just discovered the mini cukes) -very good and my dogs love them too 🐶
-Nuts - love their pistachios pecans and almond or peanut butter
-Chicken breast strips
- The squeezable applesauce packets aren’t just for kids, sometimes I just have a sweet craving and they’re delicious with some nuts for a snack. - **I do enjoy my favorite scone treat on the weekends. Not going to pretend an applesauce packet is a substitute for that ***😉
For protein- a good goal is 20-25 per meal -love the Siggis yogurts pictured, as well as plain Greek which can provide 15-20g protein
