Speech Delay vs. Speech Disorder — What’s the Difference?

If your child is having trouble with sounds like /sp/, /g/, /ch/, or /k/, you’re not alone — and understanding what you’re seeing is the first step toward getting them the right support.

👉 A speech delay means your child is developing speech along the typical path, just a bit more slowly.
👉 A speech disorder means your child may have difficulty planning or coordinating the movements needed for speech, which can make errors more inconsistent or effortful.

Today, we had a really insightful visit from in the office! We learned about their amazing products that have helped so many kids and adults get their thoughts out. They also specialize in products for the deaf and blind.

They also let us know about a new key guard printing app they developed. If you haven’t heard about them, definitely check it out. They are also an Insurance funded system. Do you have a young one who would benefit from a system like this?
