Remember when we used to be afraid of egg yolks? 😉 Glad we’re past that stage overall. Both egg whites and egg yolks are a great part of an overall healthy diet. A nice trick if you want to add more volume to a meal is to do an omelet with 1-2 whole eggs + 2-3 egg whites (you can use the egg white cartons if you want to reduce waste).⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Egg whites overall are a lean source of protein but many of the nutrients reside in the egg yolk. Whole eggs contain all of the vitamin A, D, E & K. Whole eggs also have a higher amount of B6, B12 and folic acid compared to their egg white counterparts. So don’t skimp on the yolk too much.⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Now if you’re wonder how to boil the perfect eggs, follow the instructions closely below:⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
1 - Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover them with cool water by 1 inch.⠀⠀⠀
2 - Cover the pan with a lid and bring water to a rolling boil over high heat.⠀⠀⠀
3 - When the water has reached a full boil, set a timer for the desired time and keep it full boiling the whole time.⠀⠀
4 - Immediately place the eggs in an ice water bath once they are done (this helps ensure they come out easier to peel too!)⠀⠀⠀

Timing: ⠀⠀⠀
Soft boiled - 2 minutes⠀⠀⠀
Medium boiled - 3-5 minutes⠀⠀⠀
Hard boiled - 6-7 minutes⠀⠀⠀

- 1 lb. Raw Shrimp, peeled and deveined⁠
- 1/3 cup Heavy Cream⁠
- 1 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar (or lemon juice)⁠
- 1/2 cup Coconut Flour⁠⁠
BANG BANG SAUCE INGREDIENTS⁠
- 1/3 cup Mayonnaise⁠
- 1/3 Sambal⁠
- 1 Tbsp. Sriracha⁠
- 1 tsp. Swerve Confectioners⁠
- 1 tsp. Scallions (optional)⁠⁠
This restaurant favorite takes only 15 minutes to make and is gluten-free, whole-30 approved, as well as Keto. We coat the fried shrimp with the signature Bang Bang sauce made of mayonnaise, garlic, and sriracha. It’s fast and fulfills your craving for something spicy. Easily one of my favorite Keto shrimp recipes.

Ingredients:
makes about 4 servings
1.5 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 Tbsp avocado oil, or extra-virgin olive oil, divided in half
sea salt and fresh ground black pepper
freshly ground black pepper
2 fresh limes
a handful of fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
8-10 romaine or butter lettuce leaves, rinsed and pat dried
1 large avocado, diced
1 red chili, thinly sliced
Instructions:
In a large glass bowl, add shrimp, all seasonings, juice of 1 lime, garlic, and 1 Tablespoon of oil
Season with sea salt and pepper to your taste, then stir well to coat
If time allows, refrigerate/marinate for 15 minutes or so, covered
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until just pink, about 3-4 minutes.
In a very large bowl add cooked shrimp, diced avocado, cilantro, chili slices, juice of 1 lime and remaining oil.
Gently stir to combine.
Taste test and season with a pinch of sea salt and pepper of needed.
Add spoonfuls of the avocado shrimp mixture lettuce leaves as shown, and enjoy.
