🔑Triple Extension for jumpers 🔑

🔹 Hip in extension, knee in extension, and ankle in plantarflexion‼️

🔹 When jumping, an athlete always places their hip, knee, and ankle in the above 👆 positions. Jumping, however is more of a dynamic movement pattern and many athletes don’t understand the importance of this stance when off the ground, thus leading to muscle imbalances and injuries.

🔹 Here we have our client performing a static triple extension exercise to help him understand where his joints need to be placed, but also how to fire specific muscle groups when engaging in activity of jumping.

💥RECURRENT SHOULDER DISLOCATION REHAB 💥

🔹South Shore High School girls basketball freshman star Isabella suffered from multiple shoulder dislocations during her freshman season. She attempted traditional physical therapy where she was given cookie cutter exercises, electrical stimulation, and moist heat. To no avail, her shoulder continued to feel unstable and limited her full potential on the basketball court.

🔹 Upon assessment at Vital Rehab, we noticed significant limitation in her shoulder mobility in all planes and a severely weak posterior chain. 🔥Knee Strengthening Rehab 🔥

🔹 Client update on patella tendon repair rehab. He is showing improved control of his joint positioning and movement mechanics with loaded activities. Our primary focus is continue to fatigue his quadriceps every session to the point of “noodle legs” 🍜 🦵😭.

🔹 As he begins to show appropriate stability in his knee joint, we will progress to plyometric activity and return to sport play 🏀. Eccentric control remains to be our primary goal and will help accelerate his rehab.

🔹 We don’t only want to get him back to feeling pain free, but also improve his performance on the basketball court and ability to play with his daughter in the playground.
