Last week, we had the pleasure of participating in a day of discussions and networking with fellow island innovators, conservationists, scientists, and entrepreneurs at the Science Summit UNGA in NYC. The "Islands Shaping the Future" event, organized by with support from and , provided an inspiring platform for sharing forward-thinking solutions from the minds of our precious islands to the vastness of the globe.

We were delighted to recently meet with the incredible female leadership of the in New York. This strategic organization supports entities from large corporations to microenterprises in implementing universal sustainability principles.

We shared an afternoon of anecdotes and advice, drawing from our respective experiences in female entrepreneurship, with Anna Zaleski and Brittany Robles. Anna, besides being a key player in the UN Global Compact’s mission, is the creative force behind the 's SheTrades program, an initiative that equips women worldwide with tools and access to international markets.

We thank the UN Global Compact for receiving us, for their hard work in moving industries towards sustainable practices, and for being an inspiration to women leaders everywhere.

One of the most exciting side events during the on Sustainable Development held in New York was the "Food Systems, Biodiversity, and Climate: A Recipe for a Greener Future" panel.
We had the opportunity to engage with diverse stakeholders and discuss intersectional approaches to transforming our food systems using a holistic perspective that contributes to better, more sustainable nutrition and food security while preserving biodiversity and integrating local communities, which are the most affected by climate change.

We were thrilled to exchange ideas and strategies and to learn about the programs and efforts of organizations such as , , , .inter, , the NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy, and other private and public institutions paving the way for more sustainable, inclusive, and ethical food systems.

Last Thursday, we participated in the Earth Day Fair organized by the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic, where we presented our delicious Guava Lavas and Guava Wafers cookies while sharing information about our sustainable practices and commitment to social and environmental impact.

Happy to have had the honor of participating in this year's entrepreneurial cohort of SOCAP GLOBAL (), where we had the opportunity to exchange valuable insights with investors, entrepreneurs and leaders committed to social impact.

During this exciting event, we shared with the audience our vision of a 360 sustainable production model. In addition, we presented our newest Guava Lavas, gluten-free plant-based cookies made in collaboration with small local Guava farmers from the Dominican Republic.
