SELF ADVOCACY: MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH:🤰🏽👩🏽‍🍼

May 1-7 marks Maternal Mental Health week and as a mom of color who has had both PRE and POSTpartum depression it’s important for all women to know they are not alone in this journey. Postpartum is not just another 12 weeks (4th trimester) it lasts forever and as mothers, we take it all in and forget to prioritize ourselves and mental health.

This years motto and a personal favorite is “Rediscovering You”. And know that the “rediscovering” phase is on your timeline, leisure and grace.

Say the affirmations, know your resources, lean on your tribe, and put yourself first and never doubt or regret that! ✨
