Greetings, Amazing Black Women 💖 I wanted to share a personal journey with you that highlights the incredible power of committing to our goals. A few months ago, I found myself inspired by a magical moment during the New York City Marathon. I ran with my oldest daughter during her quest to complete her tenth marathon (I think). Those five minutes (I was not registered, just bringing her fule and cheering her on) were a revelation, a blend of joy, excitement, and a newfound sense of purpose.
In that moment, I committed to reincorporating running into my life—a commitment inspired by the exhilarating energy of the marathon. Despite not running for many years, I dedicated myself to the path, starting with just a few minutes a day. As the weeks passed, my stamina grew, and the commitment to those initial five minutes became almost a daily practice.
Through this journey, I discovered not only the physical benefits of running but also the mental and emotional resilience it cultivated.
