But, the importance of sleep cannot be understated.

Every aspect of our lives is affected by how healthy our sleep patterns are.

Sleep plays a role in:

* Brain function
* Attention and focus
* Learning and problem solving skills
* Motivation
* Heart health
* Blood pressure
* Blood glucose levels
* Maintaining a healthy weight

The NIH reports that most adults need at least 7-8 hours a night.

HOW MUCH SUNLIGHT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED EACH DAY? ☀️ ⛅️

In order to maintain healthy levels of vitamin D, you need 10-30 minutes of direct sunlight several times a week.

In the winter months (more clothes and less body exposure), you need up to 130 minutes several times a week.

Vitamin D aids in keeping bones strong and decreasing risk of cancer.

But, what about skin cancer?

Above these recommended times, wear sunscreen to protect your skin.

Be extra careful about the parts of your body that face the sun like your ears, face, and shoulders.

As an alternative, you can also consider a supplement or these foods high in vitamin D: wild-caught salmon, tuna, sardines, beef liver, eggs, cod liver oil and mushrooms.

Why do our eyes dart about when we are in our deepest sleep?

REM sleep, or rapid eye movement sleep, occurs when we are in our deepest sleep (occurs around 20-25% of the time).

Why do our eyes “move rapidly” when we are in this state?

WELL! Studies show that REM sleep is when we are most likely to dream.

And, each eye movement reflects new visual information in our dreams.

In other words, your eyes move each time you encounter a new image or scene in your dreams!

Studies show delaying breakfast by 90 minutes and moving dinner up by 90 minutes decreases fat by 2%.

If you normally eat breakfast at 9am and dinner at 7:30pm... you’ll eat breakfast at 10:30AM and eat dinner at 6pm!

Wear THE TRICK when you’re NOT eating so you won’t have to endure hunger waves and needless cravings.
