I joined the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center to lead a moment of silence for all those suffering in Israel and the Palestinian Territories and share the message that it's essential to take care of our mental and physical well-being especially during difficult times.
Yesterday’s event was initially planned as a 5K honoring Holocaust Survivor Leo Ullman, and was adapted to a vigil in light of recent events.
I am the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors and my dad has been involved with the center for my entire life. The mission is to not just memorialize the Holocaust but importantly to teach the lessons of the Holocaust to fight bigotry, prejudice, and hatred of any kind. HMTC is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to educating students and the community around tolerance and acceptance.
I believe that by coming together and spreading love and understanding, we can create a world where tolerance and compassion prevail.🕊💙
