Much of injectable treatment to the face involves relatively subtle enhancements (that don’t show as well as tummy tucks on Instagram!) Done poorly, which is quite common, fillers can cause the face can to take on an unnatural puffy appearance or worse. However, a defined jawline is responsible for much of our perception of beauty, which is why jawline contouring - injecting filler to the jawline or chin - is one of my favorite injectable treatments. For this patient, I injected 3 syringes of Voluma along both the chin and jawline. You can see that her profile looks elegant and refined in the after. Look for the shadow under her jawline in both the before and after. These techniques require an expert injector who understands the anatomy of the face.
