I couldn’t believe it…⁣

My body actually went through withdrawal when I removed sugar, gluten, dairy and caffeine from my body.⁣

I had a headache for a week and fatigue that wouldn't go away. It was not a fun week. 🤢 ⁣

It was a detox. We throw that word around but a detox means we are eliminating toxins. ⁣

The everyday diet is full of them. Many of us have no idea what these inflammatory & processed foods are doing to our lives. ⁣

I am so happy I went through my detox withdrawal. ⁣

I went from dealing with:⁣

❌ chronic fatigue⁣
❌ bloating⁣
❌ Irritability/periods of depression⁣
❌ digestive issues⁣
❌ poor sleep⁣
❌ difficulty losing weight⁣

Now I’m able to lead a fully lived life. My detox taught me so much about my body and how it SHOULD feel. ⁣

What real normal is…⁣

✅ Energy that lasts through the day⁣

✅ No digestive issues⁣

You know what’s WILD? 🤯 ⁣

Sugar, processed foods, and caffeine are all DRUGS and I lived for years as an addict. ⁣

Now when you think of drugs, you think of co***ne, he**in, prescriptions…⁣

But the simple definition of a drug is any substance that has a physiological effect when ingested. ⁣

Who knew?⁣

I spent years consuming foods that had me dealing with things like:⁣

👎🏾 chronic fatigue⁣
👎🏾 bloating⁣
👎🏾 irritability⁣
👎🏾 digestive issues⁣
👎🏾 poor sleep⁣
👎🏾 depression⁣
👎🏾 difficulty losing weight⁣

And I thought it was all normal! 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗛: 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁‼️⁣

In fact, they were all warning signs that my body was not being nourished and that something needed to change. ⁣

I made the change and there is no turning back. I’ll never go back to that half lived life of tummy aches, exhaustion, and depression.⁣

LOOK, MA! I MADE IT!⁣

Whew! 2022 was transformative.⁣

Here are just a few of the wins I’m celebrating right now:⁣

🎉 Married my best friend!⁣
🎉 Stepped into my power as a woman and nurse and lost 22 lbs!⁣
🎉 Became a business owner helping other women lose weight and get off insulin!⁣
🎉 Strengthened my relationship with my 7 year old because I finally have the energy to show up for her the way I always wanted. ⁣

And sure, last year wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows, but my business grew, my clients grew, and *I* grew.⁣

2023 is on track to being another transformative year! ⁣

This is the fastest way to wreck your health…⁣

Don’t ignore the warning signs of your body. That fatigue, constipation, headaches, brain fog are all signs your body is not running at its best. ⁣

Here’s how I know this…⁣

I did the same thing. I ignored my body for years. Everyone seemed to feel the way I did. My mom, aunt, and girlfriends. These symptoms were so commonplace in my life, that I thought they were normal. ⁣

We need to talk about this…⁣

I was talking with a client the other day and they were struggling with the dreaded sweet’s cravings taking her over her macro goals for the day.⁣

She said, “I just need it, I have a sweet tooth.”⁣
I knew exactly how to help her because, well, it is my specialty 😉⁣

We were able to work on her relationship and mindset surrounding food scarcity. That treat will always be there. She can choose to recognize the craving and decide if it is important for her to honor it now or plan for it another day. ⁣

Want to truly create change in 2023?⁣

Then you can’t practice the same behaviors that have kept you at a standstill in 2022. You need change.⁣

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 is identifying who you want to be in 2023. If you do not change your identity then you will always go back to being the same as you were. ⁣

I know you want to improve your energy, productivity, intimacy, reduce stress, work less and live healthier. It is all possible. ⁣

First, think about what type of person you want to be. What do they do every day to get there? How do they think? ⁣

Surrounding yourself with individuals that embody the person you want to be will help you answer these questions. ⁣

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? ⁣

The person you identify with now is the same person who has built habits that are not productive towards your goals. If you do not change this identity then you will always go back to this previous version of yourself. ⁣

So we have to change our identity in order to create new habits that will last a lifetime. This is where I can help! ⁣

Why Prioritize these 3 Things? ⤵️⁣

🔹 Protein will keep you satisfied and getting it early in the day can help keep you from overindulging. ⁣

🔹 Staying hydrated will help keep your energy up, give you a sense of fullness to combat overeating and boosts your metabolism. ⁣

🔹Movement helps increase your energy expenditure and caloric burn. So it’s super beneficial on a day when you plan to have a big meal. Also boosts energy and metabolism. ⁣

Today I’m celebrating Ashley!!! 🎉👏😘⁣

My coaching philosophy is rooted in helping busy women and moms achieve their body and health goals. In order to do this, there are often mindset hurdles that need to be overcome first. ⁣

When Ashley first came to me, she knew she had some hurdles to overcome. She identified as being a perfectionist and knew she needed accountability to build habits that would be long-lasting. ⁣

Ashley has been one of my most open, honest, and vulnerable clients. Sharing with me her joys and her struggles. ⁣

We’ve worked on shifting her focus from perfection to consistency and tackling emotional eating to get her through. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. She prioritized herself and created a routine that enabled her to find consistency in everything from her workouts to her meal preps. All of this while we worked on improving her mindset. ⁣

In reflecting on her time with Wellness RN, Ashley is proud that she is now able to give herself grace and stay consistent with her habits/goals. She is no longer binging and restricting, she is no longer navigating her busy schedule and forgetting to eat. She is becoming more and more comfortable making healthier decisions for herself and sticking to her home-workout routine! She has even made the leap to mix it up with 1 day per week of gym workouts! Her growth has been amazing to watch. 🥰⁣

Are you stressing out about all the holiday eats coming up this season? 😔 ⁣

The holidays do not have to be a stressful time. ⁣

I know you have goals, but taking the focus off of food will significantly reduce your stress. ⁣

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝟭 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝘂𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀.𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝟭 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 ⅓ 𝗼𝗳 𝟭% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿!⁣

I didn’t always feel like a Thriving Mom until I decided to finally step into my power!⁣

I traded feeling uncomfortable in my body for feeling confident AF in my skin!⁣

It’s the 4th slide for me… Don't lose focus along your wellness journey because you're thinking too much about your end goal. Don't get me wrong. Having a goal is a fantastic way to help you get started and keep you dedicated and motivated toward change. ⁣

But losing focus along the journey will only make getting to your destination that much more challenging. Often times, having a coach is the best way to keep you consistent and focused on the journey, the small wins, the healthy habits, and the milestones. ⁣

Think about it... if you were driving somewhere new, you weren't sure of the directions to get there, but you wanted to get there as quickly as possible, you would use a GPS to help get you there. ⁣

That is what I do. ⁣

Tired of wasting time driving to the gym, working out for an hour, and having to drive back home, only to be met by your needy children, meals that need to be cooked, etc.? ⁣

By the end of the day you’re left with no time for yourself. Try this instead…⁣

I work with busy moms. Heck, I am a busy mom and I for one do not have the extra time in my day to drive 15-20 minutes to my nearest gym, workout uncomfortably in front of complete strangers, only to drive back home another 15-20 minutes. That’s 40 minutes of unnecessary time spent driving where I could be doing something for myself. 🕑⁣

This barrier always kept me from working out until I found a way to have 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟯𝟬-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝘁-𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀. ⁣

Counting macros can be daunting when you’re new to it. Here are a few tips to get you started on a successful path. ⁣

𝙋𝙧𝙚-𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙮⁣

Taking a few minutes the night before to plan your day and enter it into your tracking app or journal can make executing your plan so much easier in the beginning.⁣

Pre-planning can help you avoid getting to the end of your day and realizing you're not near hitting your macros or you’ve gone overboard.⁣

𝙁𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙞𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡⁣

Protein aids in digestion, muscle growth and boosting energy levels. It is also the macro that helps the most with lean muscle growth. ⁣

Hitting protein goals is usually the first challenge my clients face, but once they become consistent in reaching their protein goals, they begin to see inches and body changes. ⁣

𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩⁣

If you told me that in order to reach my health goals, I couldn’t have a piece of chocolate at the end of my day, then I would eventually fail. ⁣

This restrictive, “all or nothing” mentality is a recipe for failure. It’s more sustainable to learn how to incorporate your favorites from time to time. Track this first and build the rest of your days meals around it!⁣

𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤 “𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙” 𝙤𝙧 “𝙗𝙖𝙙” 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙨⁣

Food is just food. Some are more nutrient-rich than others, but that does not mean they are bad. It’s how often and how much we consume that can be the issue. ⁣

I aim for the 80/20 rule. 80% unprocessed foods. 20% processed foods.⁣
