Be different. Acknowledge spirit. Do not let food become your God. Repent through fasting to learn of our addiction to this world. A narrow gate is available, yet only through effort and searching can one find it. Begin by learning how our attachments to this world rule our lives. Fast, repent of what has gone before and change this way of being through being radically different. Put in the work. Pray when God awakens you. Give thanks for all that you have. Pray again at midday. Learn about and practice the 3pm prayer. Step up to Him that sustains us everyday and let Him know that you trust Him. Stand on Nahum 1:7 and then Hebrews 13:5. Explore scripture to find what God wants of us and let His consolations, *not the worlds*, be your guide.
Glory be to God.

A Nightmare, A Warning

As a child, a recurring nightmare would awaken him in a panic. The vision of an enormous stack of redwood logs in the shape of a pyramid. He, a very small flower at the base of the pyramid and the top log precariously perched and about to tumble down and crush him. A nightmare that was given to him, over and over and over again that foretold of something that would happen through the story of this vision and the feelings it evoked.

Small gentle and frail
heavy solid overwhelming life
crashing down upon me.

Without realizing it at the time, this simple dream became a reality in this man’s life journey many, many years down the road. A truth that was given to him as a child to hold as proof that there was a knowing greater than he could understand that understood his future and provided him with this foreshadowing dream. A sign of what was then known that would come to pass.

The dream manifested much later in life, at a time when he was at his worst and the possibility of utter destruction was held over him like a sword of Damocles. A state of mind that, in his desperation, pushed him to discover a world where what is unseen around us became revealed. And how our own actions became a two-way conversation with the world in which we live.

His journey had to begin in darkness for him to truly understand the light. And where there is great darkness, a great light is needed to shine forth. And that light was Christ.

How does one write about a miracle? The life we live in, a miracle in itself. Every moment we are unconsciously drifting upon a current of God’s subtle water. Like fish in water The ocean of our lives is unclear to us until a wave overturns our craft and we reach out to our God. He saves us and we, in our gratitude continue ever onward. Often unaware of how fully His work in our lives plays forth.
A day came before me and with the forces in my mind I fought. Listening and not listening. Knowing and not knowing. Following and leading. How does our discernment play out in our lives when, alone and not alone in a dark cave we are searching for our God. I call upon the name of Jesus, the light of our path, send for your Holy Angels to guide and protect and a way began to unfold.
A curtain pulled aside to reveal… The one who was and is. Offering a reflection of what is seen from the other side. The child within, not knowing with whom he encounters is seen caught in the throws of this world. The most gracious of Gods given to patience for his beloved shows us our faults through our eyes. Giving us a gift without understanding the prize we, caught in our own rebellion, respond to ourselves as if the other were the one, the child we encounter, our God, speaking in our language, forcing us to awaken to what is.
Thanks be to God.

God has gifted us with this life and yet it can be a terribly painful process of awakening to spirit. The trappings of this world are the exact things that this society promotes. Comfort, happiness, and wealth. Our society wants to make us think that life should be…. Happy, comfortable, pain free. But it is just those things that put us to sleep to the eternal that is around us every moment of our life. Our challenge is to wake up. To see the eternal without seeing.

What we have done is to tune God out through what we have and what we see around us. This world keeps us blind to the truth that we live within. And to the greater lessons we could be learning along the way. Lessons that can help each and every one of us grow and develop into greater beings.

Matthew 13:13 - “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand."

Because it is in the seeing which holds us back. Seeing this world around us through our eyes. This material plane. The sights, sounds and smells. The busy-ness of life. It is only through what is unseen that can bring us closer to what is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18 "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

For God is in this story working quietly. The phone call from a friend we were just thinking about, the song on the radio that speaks to us or the passage found in scripture that addresses exactly what we need the most in that moment. It is in this body that we move, the Body of Christ.

Greetings community!

Tomorrow! Thursday, June 6, is our next Spirit to Spirit group. We look forward to another gathering and a coming together of our tribe. Seekers who understand the gifts of diving deeper and sharing the richness of our lives with others are gathering to share our stories. Join us at The Source in Visalia, at 6:30pm. We look forward to continuing the journey with you.

This months gift:

"Within the dynamic landscape of personal growth, the cost of effort is an undeniable currency. Every stride toward change demands an investment of energy, commitment, and resilience. Yet, amidst this investment, the presence of others holds profound significance. Their support becomes the scaffolding upon which our growth is built. Whether through encouragement, guidance, or simply bearing witness to our journey, their influence fosters resilience and fortifies our resolve. In the tapestry of transformation, the threads of communal support weave a narrative of interconnectedness, reminding us that our growth is not solitary but communal, drawing strength from the collective fabric of human experience."

Join us and let your spirit soar!

Please pass this along to others who might be interested in joining the journey.

Please be aware that there will be no 10am Flow Yoga practice this Saturday, July 27th.

We invite you all to join us, however, for a special 8:30am practice with one of our own, Monine or Mo Zucca. Monine is a health care professional who brings many years of life experiences to her practice and will be sharing an Ashtanga journey with all who would like to join. The special class will run for 3 weeks at 8:30am. Our 10am practice will continue next week along with the special Ashtanga series.

We look forward to sharing our journey with you and encourage you all to keep the movement alive in whatever fashion God brings you.

Namaste and Amen.

Please be aware that we are no longer offering the 8:30am Saturday community flow yoga. We are still holding the 10:00am practice at St. Paul's Episcopal church and it as always, free and open to all. Our resident yogi, Evelyne, is moving to France. We will miss her and her vibrant energy. Send her well wishes and prayers for a smooth transition. If you are interested in facilitating a practice, please message me. Namaste and God bless.

Flow Flags

Flow Arts sprang forth from a deep love for flagging and a great curiosity about why this particular movement art form makes such a huge impact on peoples lives. My own experience with flagging was so profound that it led me back to school for Dance Therapy to study how ones movements effect our mental health. My background in professional dance, Tai Chi, yoga and flagging established a broad knowledge base of a variety of movement techniques and a deep understanding of how each ones energetic component effects our mind, body and spirit. Helping others expand their movement repertoire is not only good for us physically, but actually helps us be more emotionally flexible and better able to cope with our daily stressors. What flow is and how it can support better living is what I wish to to share with the world.
