Kayla obtained both her Masterโs Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and her Bilingual Extension from New York University. Kayla holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is an active member of The Special Interest Groups in School-Based Issues, Cultural and Linguistic Diversity, and Swallowing Disorders. Kayla currently works full-time as
a school-based therapist servicing students grades K-8. Kayla is fluent in Greek, skilled in American Sign Language, trained in PROMPT, certified in LSVT LOUD, and has extensive knowledge in the area of Central Auditory Processing Disorder. Kaylaโs special interests include Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Language and Literacy, Cultural Diversity, and Dysphagia. Kayla is also extremely passionate about advocating for the equity of all students. Kayla also takes her passion for helping students reach their academic potential to the next level by offering private tutoring. And as if that isn't enough, Kayla offers babysitting services for families across Staten Island. Kayla demonstrates enthusiasm, compassion, and motivation. Kayla displays a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, and she exhibits a passion for continuous learning and working with a team in a school-based environment. Kayla has a passion for student equity and advocacy, and a mission to help, suppport, and aid in students' academic success across a variety of settings.
