Sometimes we love them, they hurt us and then they die. This can make it harder for us to work through our grief. The good news is… that under that anger there is often a whole lot of love.

May the love you possessed for that person, place, or thing that you lost- propel you into your greatness as a salute to them.

What is the Sheroes Grief Journey?

The Sheroes Grief Journey is a nine week course that helps women who are grieving for their for a loved one. Our program uses a combination of therapeutic processing, psycho-education, and tools, techniques and activities to assist participants in creating a personalized grief management plan. All to often someone significant dies and we don’t know what to do with all of the emotions affiliated with it, so we just try to wait it out. Waiting it out may dull the pain but it doesn’t help you develop the skills for grieving in a healthy manner. My mother died in 2010. This course is a direct result of my transition from waiting it out, to my decision to do something about it. I worked hard. I tried a bunch of stuff, therapy, groups, books, and none was quite adequate so i started combining what I knew as a professional (I have worked in several social service organizations as: Director, Senior Program Coordinator, Counselor, and Family Services Program Director, and what i learned in the forums i described earlier. This program is the culmination of all of those experiences. If you are a Woman and your heart is broken because you have lost a loved one then you are in the right place.
