Late this morning, Shomrim received a call about a suspicious male stealing packages. Thanks to a quick response and thorough canvass, our volunteers located the suspect and caught him in the act of taking additional packages—while relaying real-time updates to . Officers responded immediately and made the arrest.

Multiple stolen packages were recovered. And thanks to our Operations Team, the suspect was also charged in connection with several other open theft reports, including an expensive bicycle from a few months ago.

Around 9:00 PM Sunday (11/23/25), at Empire & Kingston, a man shouting “Allahu Akbar” began acting aggressively and followed a woman in a threatening manner. Shomrim units moved in immediately, stopping the situation before it escalated.

Thanks to the rapid response of our volunteers directed by our operations team - and the swift arrival of and EMS - no crime was committed and the individual was safely removed.

Around 9:00 PM last night, at Empire & Kingston, a man shouting “Allahu Akbar” began acting aggressively and followed a woman in a threatening manner. Shomrim units moved in immediately, stopping the situation before it escalated.

Thanks to the outstanding collaboration between the Kinnus organizers, Secured, Shomrim, and the , this year’s Kinnus week was exceptionally safe.

Shomrim volunteers provided around-the-clock security for the Junior Kinnus, with emergency response vehicles on continuous patrol throughout the weekend. Our surveillance towers were fully deployed, helping ensure a smooth and incident-free Kinnus week, baruch Hashem.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., following a frantic call from a resident about a subject attempting to gain entry to a building, responding Shomrim volunteers quickly determined that the individual was a package thief trying to regain access to retrieve a forgotten cell phone. The thief was subsequently arrested by officers.
