What an unforgettable day!

Earlier this month, we welcomed chefs Maneet Chauhan, Michel Nischan, Chad Welch and Rocco DiSpirito for a one-of-a-kind cooking competition. Chefs were paired with a resident sous-chef to whip up a creative dish using a surprise ingredient: Chana Masala Cauliflower Soup from Wholesome Crave — a regular on our menu.

Big congrats to Chef Chauhan and her partner, Walter, for their winning take on a walking taco!

Coterie Hudson Yards joyfully celebrated the Fourth of July with groove and good vibes. The day featured a traditional barbecue buffet, a live jazz performance showcasing America's most iconic compositions, and ended on a sweet note with delicious ice cream, just before being dazzled by Macy’s spectacular fireworks.

Coterie Hudson Yards Residents got a chance to experience ARTECHOUSE’s: AMPLIFIED which offered a 50-minute immersive journey into the music, history, imagery and culture of rock ‘n’ roll, encompassing over 1,000 photographs, 200 videos, 1,300 Rolling Stone covers, and featuring over 300 iconic artists whose music changed the world.

Narrated by actor/musician Kevin Bacon, the unprecedented audio and visual experience transports audiences utilizing ARTECHOUSE’s cutting edge, 270-degree, floor to ceiling 18K-resolution digital canvas and state-of-the-art surround sound. 🎶

“Even small things we do can make a huge difference in their day.”

Dani, our Transportation Manager at Coterie Hudson Yards, has been with us since before opening day–and has been part of nearly every resident’s journey since. “I’ve helped move in 99% of our residents,” he says. “I know their families, their routines, their preferences. When they see me, they relax. They know they’re in good hands.”

One of Dani’s favorite memories? Weekly pizza runs with a resident who loved to try new spots, then working together to leave Google reviews. After the resident passed, Dani kept the tradition going with his wife–a special ritual they still share.

From Sunday church to Broadway shows, Dani and his team manage up to 20 rides a day–always with patience, care, and a personal touch.

Our four-legged friends were the stars of the show at this special Whiskers and Wags event! Residents had the joy of meeting therapy dogs for cuddles and playtime, received watercolor portraits of their pets from a talented young artist as a keepsake, and took home thoughtful gifts for their furry companions at Coterie. The evening wrapped up beautifully with live music, making it a heartwarming celebration for all! 🐶🐾🦴

We attended in support of CaringKind’s vital mission to help families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, and to advocate for those whose voices may not always be heard.
It was an unforgettable evening that reflected not just progress, but deep purpose. Every story shared and every gesture of generosity served as a powerful reminder: love is the constant thread that connects us all—even in the face of memory loss.
