Today's Prayer for Healing
August 18, 2022
When I think of peace, I think of a world where human beings are no longer brutalized on account of their accidents of birth as s*x, race, religion, or nationality. For me, peace is a way of structuring human relations where daily acts of kindness and caring are tangibly rewarded. It is a way of thinking, feeling and acting where our essential interconnection is truly honored.
I pray for a world where we live in partnership rather than domination; where "man's conquest of nature" is recognized as sucicdal and sacrilegious;
where power is no longer equated with the blade, but with the holy chalice: the ancient symbol of the power to give, nurture, enhance life. And I not only pray, but actively work, for the day when it will be so.

Reiki is a Self Care tool. Reiki reduces stress, provides a sense of calm and peace; and promotes healing. This week I had a wisdom tooth extracted. Prior to my appointment for several days I sent Reiki to my wisdom tooth. On the day of the appointment as I sat in the chair, I sent Reiki energy to myself and the oral surgeon for the best possible outcome. As I continue to heal I send Reiki to myself. This is Self Care. Carol
Affirmation: With compassion for myself and others I engage in the process of healing from past wounds and I embrace with joy the recovery of my wholeness.

February 24
We may wonder whom can I love and serve?
Where is the face of God to whom can I pray?
The answer is simple. That naked one. That lonely one. That unwanted one is my brother and my sister. If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

OUR MISSION

Iron Mountain Reiki Training is a continuation of a time honored tradition of healing and healers. We carry the knowledge of healing forward through a continuum of compassion for others. We share ourselves with others through teaching, so that they can in turn can serve others through Reiki.

WHAT IS REIKI? Reiki(pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It became manifest in Japan in the early 1900’s where five styles of Reiki were practiced as a healing modality. In March of 1922, Mikao Usui had his mystical experience on Kurama yama in which he was given the Reiki energy and from this developed his style of Reiki, which he called Usui Reiki Ryoho. This style of Reiki was brought to the West by Mrs. Hawayo Takata and has become the predominant form of Reiki practiced in the world. Reiki is administered by "laying on hands" and techniques such as these have been practiced for thousands of years. Reiki is a very simple yet powerful technique that can easily be learned by anyone.
