We keep busy New Yorkers healthy and pain free by providing one-on-one physical therapy and stregnth
I started the business 11 years ago due to requests from people to see them in their home or office. This was all very new to me at the time because in most cases physical therapists only went to the home to see patients if they were home-bound or had great difficulty leaving their home. I followed the lead of my personal trainer colleagues who were taking their clients out of the gym and seeing t
hem in their homes. The business started as a "side hustle" while I was working full-time at an outpatient clinic. I eventually accepted a part-time position in a different outpatient clinic so I could focus on slowly growing my in-home or concierge practice. Over the course of a few years, the part-time position faded and I went all-in on my own concierge or in-home physical therapy business. At Karen Litzy Physical Therapy we provide one-on-one care that includes the following offerings to our clients in the comfort of their home or office:
Physical therapy services that includes manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, and modalities as needed. Personal training/wellness services that includes a fitness evaluation, individualized exercise prescription, and an app for their home exercise program. Telehealth or virtual sessions conducted over a HIPAA compliant and secure platform
Golf Fitness and Performance sessions that include a thorough review of their swing, initial evaluation, communication with trainer or golf pro, and a program to address range of motion, strength, balance, and performance. Pre and Post-surgical care packages that include in-home visits prior to surgery to evaluate their needs and environment, follow-up care after surgery as per MD protocols, and eventual transition to an outpatient clinic or to full pre-surgical state. Adolescent and adult sports injury care and return to performance. We are based in Manhattan and out coverage area is all of Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, and Long Island City!

If the RHOBH ladies were your PT…
→ Sports PT 🏆 She’ll push you harder than you think you can go, celebrate every milestone, and somehow make the session emotional too. “Are we getting you back to 100%? Also… are WE good?”
→ Pelvic Health PT 🌸 Zero shame, zero filter. She’s heard it all. The treatment room is giving glam and you will leave feeling incredible.
→ Orthopedic PT 💪 Perfect structure, perfect alignment, perfect outfit. She had a detailed plan before you even sat down. “Your hip alignment was off. We fixed it. You’re welcome.”
→ Oncology PT 🎀 Quietly fierce, deeply compassionate. She will advocate for you harder than anyone and get emotional at your progress. The PT you didn’t know you needed.
→ Cardiopulmonary PT ❤️🔥 She walks in and your heart rate goes up — great warm-up. Clinically excellent and culturally iconic. You leave feeling like a new person.
→ Pediatric PT 🌟 The kids are OBSESSED. Chic sensory toys, maximum encouragement, and she calls every milestone “bananas.”
→ Acute Care PT 🏥 Unintimidated by high stakes, she walks into every room with grounded confidence and has you moving faster than you thought possible.
→ Neurological PT 🧠 Says something that sounds like a one-liner and then blows your mind with her clinical reasoning. Her neuro patients are fiercely loyal.
→ THE PATIENT 🚑 She wandered in looking for a restaurant. She is now on her fourth appointment. Her chart just says “wonderful.”

If the real housewives of Salt Lake City, ladies were your physical therapist:
Sports PT
Lisa is high performing, intense, and she will absolutely outwork everyone in the room. She sets, aggressive goals, won’t let you quit, and will remind you of your progress constantly. “I built this rehab plan from scratch, and it’s iconic.“
Pelvic Health PT
No topic is off-limits, she creates a judgment, free zone, and she’ll have you crying and laughing in the same session. Her whole brand is healing from the inside out – this specialty was made for her.
Vestibular PT
calm, measured, and unbothered. She helps you find your balance, literally. She treats the best clients in the world, darling, and she will let you know.
Orthopedic PT
She’s been through physically and emotionally and came out stronger. She gets pain and recovery because she’s lived it. Will cheer you on like no other.
President of the APTA
She’s not seeing patients. She’s not in a clinic. She is seated at the head of a very large table, and a very expensive outfit, making very important decisions that affect everyone, and you will not question her methods. Does she smell the conference room before entering? Absolutely.
Pediatric PT
She shows up in a full costume, and the kids absolutely lose their minds in the best way. Nobody is better at making something intimidating feel like a party. Is she dressed as a princess today? A superhero? Honestly, who knows, but the waiting room is thrilled.
Neurological PT
Academically, she is reading, astrophysics and quantum mechanics for fun, so the neuroanatomy? No problem. Emotionally, she just made a formal announcement at the eval table before anyone asked. She’s brilliant and a lot. Your brain is in good hands, but buckle up.
The Patient
she’s not treating anyone, she’s on the table. Again. Every. Single. Week. Angie has single-handedly kept in entire PT clinic in business. At this point she has her own parking spot. The staff knows her coffee order. She is the frequent flyer Miles program.

I am so excited about new article for Impact Magazine from about how biz owners can learn important marketing strategies from other industries.
I highlighted luxury hotels, tech startups, and specialty coffee shops.
On the surface it appears that that these industries have nothing to do with physical therapy. But when you dig a little deeper you find the connections.
Check out the article and let me know what you think.
