Extend Fertility

Extend Fertility Preserve your options. Live life on your own terms. That’s why we’re creating a service centered around the unique, busy lives of these women.

Extend Fertility is the first service in the United States focused exclusively on women who want to proactively preserve their fertility options. We’re inspired by the belief that women freezing their eggs for the future have a right to the same emotional support and physician excellence as women trying for a baby now.

Checkout the follicle growth at the beginning of an egg freezing cycle vs. the end of an egg freezing cycle! Follicles are the small, fluid-filled sacs within the ovaries that hour and nourish immature eggs (oocytes).

🥚Throughout your egg freezing cycle you will administer daily hormone injections to stimulate your ovaries causing multiple follicles to grow simultaneously instead of the usual single dominant follicle.
🥚During your egg freezing cycle at Extend, we monitor your progress approximately every other day in short 20-30 minute visits that include bloodwork and transvaginal ultrasounds.
🥚This process lasts 8-12 days (give or take, everyone is different!)

At Extend Fertility, we’re recognizing Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time to shed light on a condition that impacts millions of women. 💛

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain and other significant symptoms.

Common Symptoms Include:
- Pelvic pain
- Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)
- Pain during or after s*x (dyspareunia)
- Painful bowel movements or urination
- Lower back or abdominal pain
- Heavy periods (menorrhagia)
- Irregular bleeding or spotting
- Bloating, constipation, diarrhea, or nausea (“endo belly”)
- Fatigue
- Infertility

Sadly, endometriosis symptoms are often dismissed as “just part of being a woman” or misdiagnosed as other conditions like IBS, UTIs, ovarian cysts, or fibromyalgia. This can lead to years of untreated pain, delayed diagnoses, and risks of complications, including infertility.

***If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s important to consult a medical professional.

Together, let’s raise awareness, fight stigma, and advocate for better care and understanding for those living with endometriosis. 💛

Want to learn more? We have a whole blog post on our website dedicated to what you should know about Endometriosis when trying to conceive.

As Black History Month comes to a close, we’re celebrating and honoring the Black physicians and scientists who helped shape modern reproductive endocrinology and infertility care—often without recognition, always with impact. 🖤

Their research advanced IVF. Their advocacy expanded access. Their excellence strengthened the science that patients rely on today.

At Extend, we’re proud to carry that legacy forward through truth-based care, rigorous data, and a commitment to outcomes that serve everyone.

Because progress in fertility care only matters if it reaches all communities.

We let the data speak for itself at Extend Fertility… and get this: the average age of women freezing their eggs dropped from 36.9 to 35.0 between 2016 and 2023! 🥚

This shift reflects what the data has said for years: AGE drives outcomes MORE than any other factor in fertility preservation.

Most clinics can’t tell you what happens when you return to use your frozen eggs. That data didn’t exist – until now!!

Swipe to read a few key insights from our 8-year Egg Freezing study results. This study is a a collaboration between Extend Fertility and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and was authored by a multi-disciplinary team including Joshua U. Klein, MD; Nataki C. Douglas, MD, PhD; Baruch Abittan, MD; and members of Extend’s clinical staff and lab team.

You can read the full study on our website (link is in our bio) 📖

Can you get Botox while you freeze your eggs? The answer is YES! 💉

It is generally considered safe to receive Botox treatments while undergoing egg freezing (fertility stimulation). Botox does not negatively interfere with the process or impact your eggs as it is localized to the skin.

About Extend Fertility

Extend Fertility is the very first service in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to women choosing to proactively freeze their eggs.

We’ve been in the business of helping women freeze their eggs for over a decade. We began by connecting women around the country with local clinics who offered this service—but during that time, we recognized that women choosing an egg freezing clinic deserved a place of their own and a service they could afford. We’ve created exactly such a place.

We recognize that the physical and emotional needs of women interested in fertility options are vastly different from the needs of women struggling with infertility issues. This might seem obvious. But most practices serve both sets of women in the same office and focus mainly on the latter, who hope to get pregnant immediately through techniques like in vitro fertilization (IVF)—which is efficient for the practice, but not ideal for you if you’re not in that camp.

That’s what’s different about Extend Fertility: we believe that women interested in fertility options for the future deserve the same level of service, emotional support, and physician excellence as women trying for a baby now.
