Earlier this month, 250 of the most influential voices in commercial theater came together for the 2026 Theatrical Conference in Miami Beach, hosted by Broadway Across America as part of the John Gore Organization. 🎭

Beginning with a rousing keynote address by director John M. Chu, the conference served as a vibrant hub for ideas, offering a glimpse at the future of Broadway. Other notable attendees included John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Gloria Estefan, Vanessa Williams, and others for an inside look at their developing projects. 🎤🎶

In observance of Ash Wednesday, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine will offer “Ashes to Go” for New Yorkers and visitors on the move! Ashes will be available on the Cathedral steps now until 5pm, as well as outside of the 1 subway stations at 110th St & Broadway (uptown and downtown) during the evening rush hour. The Cathedral will also host two Holy Eucharist services with the Distribution of Ashes at 12:15pm and 7:30pm. ⛪️✝

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center shares a love story that highlights one of the most enduring relationships—the human-animal bond. 🐾💕

Two years ago, Finn the rescue kitten was referred to AMC after he was found with a life-threatening heart defect. With support from AMC’s community fund, AMC to the Rescue, the life-saving procedure was performed by Dr. Robert Hart, board-certified surgeon and Head of AMC’s Surgical Service 4. Finn’s blood flow was restored to normal, and he went on to make a full recovery. Three weeks later, Christal Luna, a Licensed Veterinary Technician at AMC and a member of the kitten’s AMC care team, adopted him. Today, Finn is thriving in his new home with Christal and his feline siblings.

New date, same feathered fun! Due to the extreme cold last weekend, Teatown’s EagleFest has been rescheduled for Saturday, 2/14 at Croton Point Park. All tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date, or refunds will be accepted for those unable to attend. This Valentine’s Day, show some love to the Bald Eagle as these majestic birds of prey make their way back to the Hudson River Valley. 🦅💚

After careful consideration with our community partners, we’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule this Saturday’s EagleFest due to extreme cold, dangerous wind chill, and safety concerns related to high winds and our large tents.
