this is 2 days after i washed my hair. i just started using "Jupiter conditioner" its listed for "dry itch scalp" that also wont strip my hair color. ive only used it so far so idk if its working but i still have huge flakes only after 2 days. before this i was using head and shoulder shampoo and tea tree conditioner. i blow dry my hair so it cant be from air drying. i went to a derm but he didnt look at my scalp at all and just prescribed me a random med for it that never even showed up to my pharmacy. im not using any shampoo bc my mom is a hair dresser and said i dont rlly need it and i just need to use this?? idrk what else to say but i srsly need help, it makes me look so dirty :(( it gets all over my glasses and clothes constantly

For the past few months I have been having really bad flaky dandruff and an itchy scalp. I’ve tried using Nizoral but it hasn’t helped. Now recently over the past few days on my hairline I’ve developed an orange patch that sometimes scabs that is really sore and painful. Any ideas?

I was braiding my daughters hair tonight, she's 13, and this is ALL OVER in her hair. Is it a form of ezima? It's not lice . It's almost like a really bad cradle cap. She scrubs her head in the shower. It wasn't like this a couple months ago, it looked just like dandruff. What does it look like to y'all and what can I give her to put on it to help clear it up???

Normal dandruff or something else
I have chunks of white skin coming from the front of my scalp. They are certainly bigger than normal dandruff. Only near the front of my head. Has started to occur the last couple months. I maintain a pretty healthy diet and exercise routine.

I am addicted to picking, scraping, and digging flakes of dandruff which i had for years from my scalp. Sometimes this leads to bleeding .My scalp and hair get oily frequently, but currently the scalp feels extremely dry with whitish light flakes. I have tried: coal tar shampoo, salicylic acid, ketoconazole shampoo, topical steroids but none of these have improved my condition. I am also experience significant hair loss along with this problem. Hair texture has also changed. Any blood tests i should do to check whats happening?!

Help idk if I have dandruff or dry scalp
I’ve been dealing with dandruff or dry scalp for about three years now, since the start of high school, and honestly I’m starting to lose hope.

Last summer I started using Ketoconazole 2% and the CeraVe anti-dandruff shampoo, switching them every other day. It kind of worked for a week but then the flakes came back. They’re usually small but still there. After that I tried using shampoo less, switching around, or even skipping shampoo completely, but nothing really fixed it.

Today I tried a gentle shampoo called Base Body Works and my scalp still looks weird. I don’t even know if this is dandruff or just dry scalp at this point. I also can’t afford a dermatologist right now so I’m not sure what else to try.

Extra info: I’m underweight right now and I’m trying to drink more water but I think I’m still not getting enough. Not sure if that’s related.

Does this look like psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis ?
