NYC = the takeout capital of the world 🏙️🌎

Good news: you don’t have to default to a sad salad to eat well.

My #1 rule: Count quality, not calories.

Here’s how to order smarter from your favorite cuisines👇

🥡 Chinese
• Thinner sauce > thicker sauce
• Steamed, stir-fried, boiled (skip deep-fried)
• Ask for low-sodium soy
➡️ Chicken & broccoli + brown rice

🍝 Italian
• Whole grain or gluten-free pasta
• Marinara > cream sauces
• Thin crust pizza, extra veggies, less cheese
➡️ Aglio e olio + greens

🌮 Mexican
• Corn tortillas > flour
• Skip cheese & sour cream
• Grilled or baked proteins
➡️ Chicken fajitas + veggies + black beans + guac

🍔 American
• Keep toppings simple (lettuce, tomato, mustard)
• Skip soda, choose water
• Grill or bake, don’t fry
➡️ Grass-fed burger, lettuce wrap (or black bean burger)

🍣 Japanese
• Brown rice always
• Real fish only (skip imitation crab)
• Avoid creamy or fried rolls
➡️ Miso soup + salmon/tuna roll
