Our Story

Riverview Bed & Breakfast, a private home Bed & Breakfast, is a converted historic horse-drawn Firehouse, built in 1850 by the Erie Line Railroad. Located in the lower Hudson Valley, in the heart of Piermont’s historic district is is easy to imagine a time when life was simpler.

Situated on only a quarter of an acre shaped like a thinly sliced wedge of pizza, we are flanged on two sides, one by Piermont Avenue, and the other by the Sparkill Tidal Creek that makes its way twice a day, back and forth from the Hudson River, both being necessary providing water for the tank and easy access to the roadway.

In a short 5-7 minute walk you can choice to go into town and experience its many fine restaurants, shops, and galleries or go kayaking or hiking in Tallman State Park and many other trials. When you are here it is hard to imagine that we are only 25 miles from downtown Manhattan. All are easily accessible, by car, train and even the bus which happens to stop right across the road from the Bnb.

Those of us who live here are known to poke each other in the ribs with our elbows, and say: “Can you believe we live here”? all the while smiling. Almost as if we are guilt for enjoying it all so much.
