It’s Friday and a great reminder that movement does not have to be repetitive to be effective. 🏃‍♀️🌱

According to a recent CNN health report, mixing up your workouts could help you live longer. Research found that people who vary activities like walking, swimming, strength training, yoga, or even gardening may lower their risk of early death by nearly 20% compared to those who stick to just one form of exercise.

The takeaway is simple. Variety keeps your body challenged, reduces injury risk, and can make staying active more enjoyable over the long run.

Heading into the weekend, what is one new way you plan to move? Have a healthy and active Friday.

Switching up your exercise routine does more than fight boredom. Engaging in varied forms of movement may significantly boost your longevity, according to research.

Equity and employee stock purchase plans are gaining momentum as part of employers’ talent strategies. A recent HR Dive report highlights that more than 75% of employers expect increased participation in ESPPs this year, with many viewing equity benefits as a core component of a competitive total rewards approach rather than a supplemental perk.

The trend reflects a broader shift toward using equity to attract and retain talent, align employees with company growth, and support financial wellbeing, particularly for non executive and technical roles.

For employers, the key question is how to design equity programs that are accessible, well understood, and aligned with broader workforce and benefits strategies.

Equity and employee stock purchase plans are especially part of the conversation for technical talent, reports showed.

AI in HR is moving quickly. SHRM’s State of AI in HR 2026 report shows that 62% of organizations are already using AI somewhere in the business, and 92% of CHROs expect deeper workforce integration this year.

At the same time, adoption remains uneven. Nearly one‑third of organizations have no plans to deploy AI, and many employers are still working through governance, trust, and workforce readiness challenges.

The message for employers is clear. AI success depends as much on people, skills, and culture as it does on technology. HR leaders have a critical role to play in ensuring AI supports both organizational performance and employee wellbeing.

How is your organization preparing its workforce for this next phase of AI adoption?

For centuries, women around the world gave birth in upright positions that worked with gravity and the body’s natural physiology. A new BBC Future article explores how and why lying on the back became the medical norm, and what research tells us about better outcomes when birthing people are supported with more choice and mobility.

It’s a timely reminder that evidence‑based maternity care should center autonomy, comfort, and informed decision‑making.

It's usually more dangerous for women to give birth lying down, so why do they? It's all because of a Frenchman who decided it was more convenient – for men.

A positive mindset may be one of the most overlooked drivers of healthy aging.

A recent CNN Health article highlights growing research showing that people with more positive views about aging experience better cognitive health, improved mobility, and even lower mortality risk over time. Attitude alone is not the full story, but it plays a meaningful role in how we age and how we engage with our health.

Despite the stereotype that the body and brain automatically decline as people get older, research shows that many people really are improving with age. The secret isn’t a special supplement or a complicated diet. What seems to really matter is a positive attitude toward aging.

Constant app updates, shifting interfaces, and rapid AI adoption are making it harder for older adults to navigate everyday technology—while increasing reliance on caregivers.

This growing “technology caregiving” burden is emerging as a workforce issue, impacting employee time, productivity, and stress.

As the population ages, employers have an opportunity to support caregivers and advocate for more intuitive, stable digital tools.
