Dr. Sun is a fellowship-trained, board-certified cornea specialist.

She is a graduate of medical school at Suny Downstate Medical Center (M.D., Clinical Neuroscience Pathway). She received her internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in internal medicine and her fellowship at Emory University. She completed her residency at Northwell Health (Zucker School of Medicine–Ophthalmology).

Dr. Sun received professional awards from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases Summer Research Program–Research Award and Strong Children’s Research Center Summer Training Program–Research Award.
