How are you doing? It has been awhile since we last connected, and I hope you are well and enjoying the start of summer.

I wanted to reach out to thank you for your most recent monthly gift that we received in June.

With your help we’re creating bright futures for thousands of animals in our community. This includes Lucy, a wonderful cat that you gave a second chance to.

Lucy came to us as a part of a litter of five kittens exposed to panleukopenia, a highly contagious viral disease.

The kittens were put in isolation and received expert medical care — and all five of them survived and were adopted.

We just heard from Lucy’s adopter: “Lucy is nearly 8 months old and is healthy, happy, active and living her best life with her two loving humans.”

Thank you for giving Lucy, and her siblings, the second chance they deserve — this is an extremely rare outcome for kittens with panleukopenia in a shelter, and we couldn’t have done it without you."
