Best friends remind me of flowers. They come in all colors, shapes, sizes, and personalities. They bloom, according to their soil, how they were fertilized, and the seeds of their ancestors.
Every single one of my best friends are so different from each other. If I had a party and invited you over and introduced you to all of them, the one thing that you would notice is that they’re all fun, energetic, easy to get along with and they try to live life to the fullest. It’s what I’ve always been attracted to in people. Today I have blossomed a bit differently, and although I still love my fun, energetic bunnies, I also now enjoy speaking to the quietest person in the corner and pick their brain, the biggest nerd, etc. Making new friends is one of my favorite things today.
In this photo, my gorgeous and very strong best friend, Jeanine was getting married. I had always been told by all my friends that I needed to meet Jeanine because we would hit it off extremely well. When I finally met her, a very large group of girls were going I had no idea that night, she was in the group. My friends were right, by the end of the night you couldn’t separate us. In this photo she was getting married to her husband. She’s always been a firecracker like me, so I’m so proud of her for being such an incredible wife and mother. She knew what her priorities were and nurtured them. Thankfully her husband reciprocated. ❤️
Dopamine fact:
Did you know that calling a friend can give you one of the biggest dopamine hits? When was the last time you called a friend, shared your vulnerability, and laughed your butt off?
If your answer is that it’s been a while…. here’s your call to action, pick up the phone and just do it. Don’t think about it, the person that just popped in your mind, call them. I bet they will also be happy that you called. If they tell you, they can’t talk right now, it’s not about you, call them again next week and pick up the phone and call someone else. Share the dopamine! ❤️
