Me going through the course at the event ATHLEAN-X
I'm amazed at how fast my body and strength bounced back only 17 weeks postpartum! I was really skeptical and apprehensive about this competition, I was not sure at all that I could complete the whole thing in the time alloted, let alone do well. (04:47min, time alloted: 06:30)
It ended up being challenging but a lot easier than I expected! I was the most nervous about the hill run at the end but it turned out being not bad at all, I feel like I was out of my body and my legs just hurtled me up that hill!
I was out of breath at the end, but compared to child birth this was child's play ๐ maybe it prepared me more than I thought...
I recovered way too fast after, I felt like I could do it again 5 minutes later, especially after watching sprint up the hill like it was down hill... ๐
At the end, if I'm being honest, I had a little left in the tank and I wished I had pushed myself just a little bit harder. Luckily my husband Odin Henry Winkler and my coach got me to go hard, I just know I will probably never be able to push myself as hard as my husband. He doesn't know how to go less than 100%when it comes to this kind of thing... He says: win or lose, as long as you feel like you gave it your all, you will feel like you won (paraphrasing, I think he says it better).
Next year I will go harder. I feel like the experience of having gone through child birth really gave me mental strength, now I just want to get physically stronger. I know a lot of people think I'm crazy and that I'm strong enough, but getting stronger and really challenging my body is an amazing feeling. I don't want to leave anything in the tank.
Thanks for filming and running the hill! .
