“Does insurance actually get you the best physical therapy care?”
Short answer: No.
And most people don’t realize why…
—
Insurance companies don’t choose providers based on:
❌ outcomes
❌ experience
❌ time spent with patients
They choose based on: ✔️ cost
✔️ volume
✔️ how quickly they can move you through the system
—
That’s why so many people end up in clinics where:
You’re treated with 2–3 other patients at the same time
You spend more time with an aide than a doctor
Your program looks like everyone else’s
…and then wonder why they’re not getting better.
—
Here’s the truth most people aren’t told:
👉 You don’t have to let your insurance dictate your care.
👉 You are allowed to choose a provider based on quality—not just coverage.
—
If your goal is to:
Stay active
Get back to running, lifting, competing
Actually fix the problem (not just manage it)
Then who you work with matters… a lot.
—
Not all physical therapy is the same.
And in many cases, you do get what you pay for.
—
Before starting PT, ask yourself:
✔️ Am I choosing this place because it’s convenient… or because it’s the best fit for my goals?
✔️ Am I getting 1-on-1 care or being passed around?
✔️ Is this built for performance—or just to check insurance boxes?

At Fit Club, we built our model around outcomes, not insurance restrictions.
