๐ŸŒŸPresence means being in my body regardless of what's it's feeling, be it joy, panic, pleasure, discomfort, pain, love, ecstasy, regret, contractions, opening, fear, abandonment, turn-on, danger, curiosity. If you think only the "bad" feelings are hard to hold, think again. โฃ

๐ŸŒŸPresence means staying with myself when I want to run, avoid, numb, escape, pretend, feel something different, or feel nothing at all. โฃ
โฃ
๐ŸŒŸPresence means giving ALL of my attention to what I am doing, to who is speaking to me, to where I am, to how I'm feeling. โฃ

๐ŸŒŸPresence means listening without planning what I will say next, without interrupting, without thinking about something else. โฃ

I'm excited to share that I've made some moves to get my social media s**t together. โšก๏ธโšก๏ธโšก๏ธโฃ

I've had 2 accounts all this time. This one and my "personal" page. It may have appeared from the outside that all is well, messes often do. โฃ

A necessary move I've had to make in order to grow my business is to merge all of my passions, gifts, and skills into one offering, which is GYST. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅโฃ

It's been landing in my knowing that my social pages need the same wholeness. Because there is not a personal or professional "side" to me. Both aspects are integrated into my being and the services I provide here are created by and provided by my whole heart. I don't clock in and out of being Sana, the coach. It is an aspect of my being. โฃ

Having my social pages splintered has been splintering my energy. Wondering which page to post what to and wondering which community would want to receive the content more. Wondering if this community would reject me for sharing something outside of my business that doesn't interest them. This, my friends, is how we get in our own way. โฃ

All I had to do was decide. I started the next day and itโ€™s been a cake walk since thenโ€ฆ.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ Yeah, right! โฃ

The actual story goes more like this- โ€œTomorrow I will meditate. I didnโ€™t meditate this morning, but Iโ€™ll do it later. Iโ€™m such a jerk, why canโ€™t I stick with the plan? Tomorrow I will start the day in meditation instead of smoking ci******es. Oh gosh, I didnโ€™t do it which just proves Iโ€™m a loser and will never change. Tomorrow I will quit smoking AND start meditating every day. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrowโ€ฆโ€โฃ

On some tomorrows I did sit in meditation and on some I almost didnโ€™t smoke. But it took YEARS to get to the point of fully reaching those goals. I quite smoking and started living free September 4th, 2019 and committed to a daily meditation practice October 16th, 2019. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’ชโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ โฃ

What I learned from this journey (and the journies of those I have supported/suport) is that habit change can be quick or it can take a long time. It usually goes, the longer the habit the longer to change it. I learned that often times baby steps go faster than big leaps. I learned that had I been gentle and compassionate with myself and less attached to the outcome I would have likely changed my habits faster, with way more grace and ease. I learned that making big changes feels so much better when others are cheering you on, supporting you, and holding you accountable. I couldnโ€™t quit smoking until I told 5 close friends my quit date and asked for daily support for the first few weeks/months. โฃ

I know this sounds counterintuitive because you want to change and accepting what IS right now feels like the opposite of that. โฃ
โฃ
I know you want to race to the finish line and be the new you. The thing is, FUTURE you needs NOW you to practice loving kindness toward yourself. We grow in love, not in judgement. We blossom when we are nurtured and watered, not when we are beaten down with shame and despair.โฃ
โฃ
If youโ€™re spending a lot of time wishing you were different and longing for a dream, pause. Look in and see that underneath your habits you are a divine being who is pure love and only wishes to be in love and be loved. So love yourself now, just as you are. ๐Ÿคโฃ
โฃ
Your habits donโ€™t define you, theyโ€™re just what you do. What we do impacts how we feel and so on. So to get to that place of living in the dream start by loving all that you are and do now. This will clear out the haze and confusion brought on by "shoulding" and shaming yourself and allow you to see what IS. โฃ

This leads to defining what needs to change clearly and concisely. Once you can clearly define what is happening, changes can begin to shape. โฃ
โฃ
In the meantime, Iโ€™ll be here loving you exactly as you are. When youโ€™re ready to grow Iโ€™ll walk with you and love you every step of the way. Are you ready to begin? โฃ

I'm learning more each day that this is just code. Code for, I want to change my habits. I want to show up to my life differently. I want my life to be lived, not just something that happens to me. โฃ

Habits are very interesting. We all engage in habits daily, but only seem to notice the ones that we're not doing or wish to change. We take for granted the MANY habits that make up our actions. If you stop to think about it, how many habits have you already practiced today that you gave absolutely no thought to because they are automatic now? How many habits did you practice without having to plan it or scribble it into your planner? โฃ
โฃ
Now ask yourself, how many times did you should yourself today? "I should be doing this, I shouldn't be doing that, tomorrow I'll start doing that thing I said I'd start today..." Sound familiar? โฃ
โฃ
If so, Iโ€™m here to remind you that the only thing standing between you and that should is you. You have the power to take that action (or accept things as they are). Only you have the power to make the choice to show up to the promise you made yourself. If your should is about pleasing other people, then we need to have a different conversation. But in the case of the shoulds that spill out from the promises we make to ourselves, there's a simple solution- just do the damn thing. โฃ
