The Nyack Tower Fund

Yesterday afternoon I informed my team that I wouldn’t be returning next fall. It is with a mix of tremendous gratitude, and a touch of sadness, that I have submitted my resignation from the position of Head Varsity Football Coach at Nyack High School, effective November 20th 2023.

The decision to step away from a program, and the community that I hold so dear has not been made lightly as coaching at Nyack has been my greatest passion and source of fulfillment, but I have come to the realization that life is an ever-evolving journey of diverse experiences, and after 15 seasons of coaching football at Nyack, it is time for me to take a break from coaching, and embark on a few new adventures that go beyond the sidelines of a football field.

Those who know me well are also aware that my ultimate final destination has always been to eventually live near a beach, and the time has come for Tammie and I to move on from Nyack, and pursue our dream together.

While I am stepping away from coaching at this time, I want to emphasize that my love for the game remains unwavering. I’m sure that I will return to coaching in the future, as it is just a calling that runs deep within me, and no matter where I land, I imagine it will be hard to keep me away for long.

Nyack will always hold a special place in my heart. It has been my home for my lifetime, and I will always consider this my home. Serving as a coach here for 15 years, first as an assistant, and then the last two as the head coach, has been an incredible honor and privilege. I am very grateful for the opportunity that I was given, so thank you for allowing me to live my dream.

To all my former players and coaches. I love you all, and will miss you terribly. I want you all to know that even in my absence, my door will always be open to you for support and guidance. I want to thank you all for your dedication and sacrifice. It has been my honor to work with such a talented, and dedicated group of individuals, and I am confident that you will continue to excel under new leadership.

As I bid farewell to my coaching role, I remain a steadfast supporter of Nyack's success in the future. I am grateful for the memories, friendships, and lessons learned during my time at Nyack, and I will continue to root for the continued prosperity of the community and the football program.

5. Senior Scholarships: The Monday Morning Quarterbacks have provided our seniors with scholarships for 50 years. This year they provided over $6000 to 5 current deserving graduating seniors. We are committed to recognizing, and supporting the academic achievements of our graduating seniors. By contributing to our scholarship fund, you empower these exceptional individuals to pursue higher education, and continue their dreams.

As a token of our gratitude, any donation over $100 will earn you a Nyack Football T-shirt, allowing you to proudly wear your shirt, supporting our team, and remind you of the cherished memories from your time at Nyack High School.

We want to emphasize that the Monday Morning Quarterbacks organization is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.

You will receive a receipt for your contribution, which can be used for tax purposes. Every contribution big or small makes a difference, and a receipt will be provided for your records.

This is the last call for Alumni Bricks or plaques for the Tower Fund Building, and Alumni walk way at the High School.

VERY IMPORTANT!
I will be shutting this all down at the end of October, and installing all of the final orders of bricks & plaques in November,

So if you want your name, or your Family name on an alumni Brick in the Nyack Alumni pathway, or beautiful bronze plaque on the building, please let me know ASAP.

Bricks are
$100 for a 4x8 3 lines 16 characters per line
$250 for a 8x8 6 lines 16 characters per line
$500 for a 12x12 family brick. 10 lines 23 characters per line

Bronze Plaques are $1000-$1500

If you know anyone else that has said they want to do this, but hasn’t yet, please let them know that it’s now or never. The brick pathway turned out absolutely beautiful. Everyone loves it! Other parents from other schools take pictures of it.

The bronze plaques are beyond beautiful. I hope every alumni from Nyack would still want to put their names someplace in this pathway.

This is the final call for anyone who wants to Order a Family Plaque or a Brick for the Nyack Tower Fund. The order has been made but I can add a few only for this coming week. After that, I change it anymore.

So if anyone intended to buy a bronze family Plaque, or a brick this is your final chance because after this, I will not be doing this anymore.

The pillars for the new Tower building at the High School were finally finished today. Getting very close to the end of this project!

The Brick Pillars are finally being built at the High School for the Tower Fund. Soon the alumni Bricks and plaques will be put into place. The project will finally finish in the next few months. Thank you to everyone who donated to make this possible.

PLEASE HELP US FINISH THE TOWER FUND!!!

Hey Nyack Peeps! We are only $12,800 away from finishing the fundraising for this entire tower fund project. Its been such a long journey but there is light at the end of the tunnel! If I can just raise that $12,800 I can install the beautiful Brick Pillars seen in the picture below. I know a lot of you have already bought a brick, but if there is any way you could maybe help chip in again with anything at all to help us finish this thing, it would be extremely appreciated. Please ask if they may want to get involved and have their name in the Alumni Pathway with a small donation that will put their name in Nyack History forever.

At least now, everyone knows the project will get finished, and if they buy a brick, they won’t be wasting their money.
