There's still time to register for the Stillness as Skill: Meditation Training for Radical, Relational Clinicians for non-diet clinicians. And to help you take the leap, here are the top 10 reasons to go ahead and sign up!

10. You’ll Build (or Deepen) Your Own Sustainable Meditation Practice
The first half of the program is all about you. You’ll start with just 10 minutes a day and gradually work up to 20. We’ll troubleshoot posture issues, mindset blocks, and all the little things that get in the way of consistency—so you actually stick with it.

9. You’ll Cut Through the Myths and Learn What Meditation Really Is
Forget the Instagram version of meditation: it’s not about being perfectly calm, blissed out, or “zen.” You’ll gain a clear, grounded understanding of what meditation actually is—and why it’s so powerful for both recovery work and real life.

8. You’ll Add a Rare and Stand-Out Skill to Your Toolkit
Very few clinicians in the eating disorder field have formal training in how to teach meditation. This course gives you the tools, trauma sensitivity, and language to bring mindfulness into your work in a way that’s ethical, effective, and sets you apart.

7. You’ll Gain New Frameworks and Language for Your ED Work
Tired of saying the same things over and over? Buddhist psychology offers rich, accessible ways to help clients understand their experience, stay present, and engage with recovery in fresh and meaningful ways.

6. You’ll Show Up More Authentically—in Every Area of Life
Meditation helps you become more you. It supports you in showing up—at work, at home, in your relationships—as your most authentic, grounded self. And that’s exactly who your clients, your loved ones, and the world need.

5. You’ll Connect with the Deeply Spiritual Heart of This Work
Our work isn’t just about food or body image. It’s about helping people meet themselves—often for the first time. Meditation helps you bring a deeper, more soulful presence to the transformational work you already do.

4. You’ll Find the Mindful Community You Didn’t Know You Needed
So many of us do this work in isolation. This course connects you with a community of like-minded, heart-centered clinicians who get it—and who will inspire and support you along the way.

3. You’ll Receive a Gorgeous, Full-Color 65-Page Workbook
Not to brag (okay, maybe a little), but the workbook is fire: outlines, worksheets, cheat sheets, handouts, a meditation journal, resources, and answers to the most frequently asked questions. It’s your go-to guide for personal practice and teaching.

2. You’ll Get Free, Ongoing Monthly Supervision with Me and Your Peers
Long after the course ends, you’ll have access to monthly peer supervision where you can give and receive meditation instruction, reflect on your practice, and stay connected to this growing community.

1. This Course Can Change Your Life—For Real
Meditation transformed my own recovery and became the center of my life and work. I’ve seen it do the same for my clients and the professionals I’ve trained. It shifts everything.

I’ll be honest with you:

Enrollment for Stillness as Skill: Meditation Training for Radical, Relational Clinicians is smaller than I’d hoped.

I thought about postponing the course until next year. But the truth is: I need this right now.

And maybe—just maybe—you do too.
If you’ve been on the fence, it’s possible that whatever’s holding you back is the very reason this course could matter most.

There’s no denying it:
The world is in turmoil.
The weight of violence, injustice, division, and denial presses down on all of us. It’s disorienting. Exhausting. Heartbreaking.
And yet—this is not who we are at our core.

I still believe, maybe naively, that beneath all this chaos is basic goodness—what in Buddhist teachings we call Buddha nature: an inherent capacity for wisdom, compassion, and fierce, tender care.

That’s what this course is about.

It’s about cultivating the inner steadiness to meet discomfort without turning away.

It’s about honoring complexity rather than rejecting it.

It’s about learning how gentleness—yes, even fierce gentleness—can transform not only how we care for others, but how we care for ourselves.

I know a 7-week commitment can feel daunting when everything around us is uncertain.

The fall/winter season brings its own kind of overwhelm.

But I also know this:

This practice can be a refuge. A source of stability when the ground is shifting. A way to meet your own heart and mind with clarity, courage, and care.

In this course, you’ll:
- Build and sustain your own meditation practice
- Explore timeless Buddhist principles that offer both hope and practical tools
- Connect deeply with a small group of like-minded clinicians walking the same path

If you’ve been waiting for the right time, maybe this is it.
We begin September 20th.

I’d love to sit with you.

And if the barrier is financial, reach out directly and we will figure it out together. It’s more important to me that you get access to these teachings than anything else.

What if emotional eating wasn’t a stubborn problem to fix...but a message your body has been trying to send you all along?

Join me at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health September 12-14, 2025 for From Emotional Eating to Intuitive Eating—a transformative weekend dedicated to changing the way you relate to food, your body, and yourself.

In this workshop, we’ll explore:

✨ The most common misconceptions about emotional eating—and how they impact your body, mind, and heart
✨ The hidden meaning behind emotional eating and why understanding it is essential for lasting change
✨ The many influences on emotional eating, including your relationship with food, your physical and emotional self-care, and the often-overlooked things that make life feel meaningful
✨ How to decode those intense, reactive moments that lead to emotional eating—and what they’re really asking for
✨ How to work with our natural pull toward pleasure and away from discomfort (without shame)
✨ How meditation can gently rewire your relationship with both pleasure and discomfort
✨ How to discover personalized, compassionate responses to your true needs
✨ How the Intuitive Eating model offers a lifetime of confidence, ease, and self-trust around food and your body

And you’ll do it all at Kripalu—a beautiful, peaceful retreat center designed for deep learning, restoration, and joy. Think: nourishing meals (that you don’t have to cook!), expansive grounds for walking and cloud-watching, gentle scheduling that allows ideas to truly sink in, and a community that feels contemplative, engaged, and kind.

If you’re ready to stop fighting emotional eating and start listening to the wisdom it holds, I’d love for you to join me.
