COME SUPPORT YOURSELF & THE GRIEF HOUSE, who supports us all in our grief and emotions and traversing transitions!

Join us for an unforgettable evening that invites us to gather, grieve, and celebrate — together. The Grievers Ball, hosted by The Grief House, is a warm and magical night that makes space for remembrance while weaving loss into life.

Held this Saturday November 15 from 6-9pm at the Dairy Barn in Legacy Park, this is an invitation to not only support The Grief House ATLANTA and their work, but also to invest in grief tending, in joy and in community.

In a world that often rushes past our grief, this event offers something rare: a party where your grief is welcome. Whether you’re mourning someone you love, a version of yourself, a stubbed toe, or something harder to name, this is a space where you can show up just as you are. Learn more at www.griefhouse.org/event-details/the-grievers-ball

There will be several opportunities to interact and play, like spell jars, tarot cards, an interactive altar space, a nervous system reset nook & MORE. Plus food and music and HUGS!!!

It was an exquisite morning holding 3hours of ritual space at the Oakland Cemetery Bell Tower for Ancestral Grief. The autumn trees were at their peak of beauty. We sang, we wrote, we shared, we cried, we created beauty, we drummed, we journeyed deeper still. The fresh winds blew through. We remembered through poetry. We reflected through breath. Smoke, stone, fresh dirt, cleansing waters, flowers & more song. We received.

Thank you to Melanie and Sascha . It’s an honor to hold ritual space with you. My beautiful drum has been initiated into shamanic drumming & it is singing for joy.

May we all have the opportunity to tune inward, to connect with our ancestors and to allow difficult truths to be seen & felt & held with great care & support.

If you’re interested in a Winter Solstice Ritual, Dec 21, comment or DM.

To open up a sacred space for conscious rest while softly remembering our ancestors… last night… thank you everyone who joined us. Intown Retreat is so peaceful & it was an honor to create with Benny Silva.

In fact, Benny and I decided to collaborate again. ❤️ The first Full Moon of 2026, Jan 3, we’ll guide another practice of conscious resting. Join us to begin the year grounded in your heartbeat, the sacred presence of light, & the importance of stillness.

But first, Lisa Jordan joins me again, Dec 6, just past the Full Moon. We’ll honor this darkening time, turning towards deep rest & generosity towards ourselves to support this demanding time of year. Gratitude, thoughtfulness & care will be emphasized through gentle postures, sacred songs & Lisa’s soft soundscapes. Registration is already open. Book it!

It’s time to reserve your place in a very special Day of the Dead Restorative Yoga + Sound Bath experience in collaboration with Benny Silva on an evening when the moon is waxing.

November 1, 6-7:30p at Intown Retreat Spa & Wellness.

This time of year, the veils between the worlds are thin making it an auspicious time to honor our dearly departed.
You will be invited to open yourself to the presence of ancestors & to hold expansive space for the messages which may come through. Shonali’s sacred songs accompanied by the deep drone of the harmonium paired with Benny Silvia’s expansive mystical sound scape open up the unseen realms. You don’t want to miss this.

Long held nurturing restorative yoga postures give the body permission to release, supported by bolsters, blankets, and blocks ultimately soothing the nervous system and cultivating connection. The postures are deeply restful & supportive as you are invited to step into remembrance.

No prior yoga experience is necessary—just an open heart. After class, you may wish to further wind down with time in the sauna.

Be sure to register in advance as space is limited.

A portal was opened this morning at the most apropos of times. As the veils between the worlds thin, the All Souls’ Post Office, as visioned by Susan Patterson, was initiated at the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, supported & brought to you by The Voices of Love Threshold Choir.

The All Souls’ Post Office uses letter-writing as a simple way to connect, process & forge new relationships with the souls of those who have died. The vintage cabinet, literally & figuratively, holds the evidence of our communal loss, grief and new initiatives as our letters are “posted”.

For two weeks, the post office will be “in residence” where congregants are invited to write & post letters to the deceased. (All materials are supplied.) All letters will be received & blessed at the Evensong service on All Saints’ Day, November 2, then burned in a special ceremony in the Columbarium following the service.

As our choir has gained experience & wisdom singing at the bedside of the dying, this initiative represents the now broader thresholds we are daring to cross to connect with our dearly departed. If you are interested in an All Souls’ Post Office residence, tag me or reach out to Susan Patterson, our choir director.

Stay tuned. The next residency initiates on Dec 2, 7-8pm, at The Grief House. Registration link coming soon.

I cherish the moments each day when I consciously center myself. To feel my back supported by the earth. To feel my legs extending upward to the sky. To acknowledge toes and feet, hands and fingers. To remember that my mind can be both expansive & focused. To anchor back to my essence. Legs up the wall is a resting pose, sure, but it can also be a dynamic way to re-align.

Kudos to Dancing Dogs Yoga. Such a beautiful studio.
Come see me there Tuesdays & Thursdays 10-11:15 for Mindful Mantra Flow. Come discover a fresh way to orient your practice.

As this full moon approaches, I am celebrating a successful new collaboration with a dear talented friend, Lisa Jordan. Singing with her bowls & bells was pure joy. We had a full house at Intown Retreat Saturday evening. Song, sound, body consciousness plus breath plus community. There was much needed rest & renewal for all. Thanks to everyone who came out. 🙏🏽

Mark your calendars. The talented sound healer, Benny Silva, will be joining me next month, Nov 1, 6-7:30. We will honor our dearly departed, our ancestors and prepare ourselves for the Full Moon. It will be potent. We’ll let you know when registration opens.

Dec 6th, Lisa joins me again for a reflective practice honoring the darkest time of the year.

Remember to connect to what lifts your spirits so you can stand in your power. Much love & good luck this month.

Full Moon Restorative Song Bath, tomorrow, Saturday, 10/4 6-7:30p. Surround yourself in community with tender care to rest and relieve your overburdened system. Transcendent sound, song and body practices.

I will guide you into long held restorative yoga postures which invite your body to release & breathe again supported by bolsters, blankets, and blocks.
