This film features G. I. Gurdjieff with Armenian subtitles. It showcases original and rare footage of his movements and music from the 1920s.
Produced by Jean-Claude Lubtchansky, a close associate of Madame de Salzmann (who collaborated with Gurdjieff for nearly 30 years), this documentary has the support of the Gurdjieff Institute in France. A French version is available, though it cannot be accessed at the moment.
Posted a few months ago, this documentary offers a more systematic and detailed exploration of Gurdjieff’s life than my review of Meetings with Remarkable Men. It includes vintage photographs, recordings of Gurdjieff, and scenes of his movements and dances, along with numerous quotes and excerpts from his books. If you’re interested in learning more about one of the most intriguing and unconventional philosophers of the 20th century, I encourage you to check out this documentary.
Gurdjieff’s teachings are thoroughly described in the book In Search of the Miraculous.
