I am a child and family therapist with many years in private practice and my commitment to connect with you and partner with you in this process will make you feel understood, held, and empowered. I tend to work with women who desire more satisfying and fulfilling relationships as well as children who are struggling with fear and anxiety. As you are well aware, these are challenges that impact your daily life; from overthinking the exchanges with loved ones, feeling frustration and listlessness, to comforting your child nightly from the fears that plague him/her. If you’re seeking help with your relationships, you are likely someone who values relationships above all else. Perhaps, however, you have been feeling kind of ‘meh’ about your most important relationships. For someone like you who places relationships and connections as a prime currency, this is very frustrating and painful. You are wise and insightful, but recently you have been feeling stuck, confused, overwhelmed, and kind of listless. If you’re seeking help with your child(dren), you are likely an attuned parent. You have been an attentive and sensitive parent, and are now seeing that that your child’s challenges as of late are out of your scope to tackle. You need help; not just for your child’s sake but for yours as well. You want your child to be his/her cute, playful self again and be able to fully engage in childhood. How to know that I can be the right match for you and your child? Well, firstly, I’ve been doing this for years because I’m so passionate and interested in people. Plus, aside from my many years in practice coupled with the several post-grad courses I have both taken and given, your gut and intuition will let you know immediately. You will feel understood, accepted, and most importantly empowered in your life. We will work in partnership to give you the insight you crave. My clients report feeling this almost magical feeling when sitting with someone who ‘gets it’, and who can give you the feedback that fits for you. I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all”; therefore, my clients know that I don’t consider myself a purist to any specific therapeutic methodology. Instead, I find it most helpful to tailor my approach to your specific needs, personality, and desires. I am known to use a combination of DBT, CBT, creative, play, relational, person-centered, and narrative techniques from a psychodynamic base. Ultimately, my goal is to help you connect with what is your truth in this process. It is important to me that you receive the care you deserve, therefore, my clients have an open and honest relationship with me and relay what in our process is most helpful to them so they can feel comfort knowing that I will serve them the best way I can. My clients consist of individuals who are motivated to make a change in their life to feel more satisfaction, fulfillment, and joy. They value the time we spend together and take it quite seriously. Together we navigate the pitfalls and stumbling blocks of life related to relationships, parenting, self-motivation, sleep disturbances, low mood, and overwhelming angst and anxiety. I help my clients figure out how to create a more peaceful and enriched life as well as cope with the everyday struggles. If this sounds like you, let’s talk! I do have some limited sliding scale availability. I do not accept insurance, however, if you have out-of-network benefits you may get reimbursement from your insurance.

You need to love yourself enough to be aware of your tendencies and be open to a potential partner ... sometimes even if they are not in the external trappings you expected. When you are aware enough, you will more naturally be pulled toward the partner that is a complement to your healthy inner dialogue and will help you strengthen it. It’s a New Year ✨ ! This is the time when we tend to get excited about trying to create new habits, or “resolutions.”

The question is, how do we make these good intentions long lasting instead of something that peters away after the excitement ends?

👉 Tip #1 👈
Make sure you are aligned with the general benefit of the habit you are trying to form. An example could be exercise. You want to feel good, you want to have more energy, you want to feel good in you body. Try to have the alignment be about experiential things like this and not just intellectually knowing there are health benefits Rather, focus on the FEELING.
