It’s been a week. One highlight from the workbench includes the use of salt, TCM herb fu zi (aconite) and cardamom in a coconut base on select acu points paired with the warming properties of moxa. A very warming combo that feels good. Great to resurrect the Yang. Also used this week: jade tools for massaging/ relaxing relaxing muscles, essential oils and magic 🪄

!!Cupping!!
Great to release what I call the “Silicon Valley” which is the muscle groupings in the mid and upper back involved with tech usage. This creates tension and pain up and downstream from headaches, tingling down the arms/hands, jaw issues, diaphragm spasms and so on. My personal fav is planting a cup right on the Teres muscle which is constantly held crimped against our ribs from driving, or on the phones or computers. Open that sucker up and release it with cupping.
The darker your marks, the more you needed it.

Patient with severe insomnia came in for acupuncture. That very night she slept like this! Said her highest score ever has been in the 60’s and last night reached 91. She also slept past the alarm. I’m so happy for her not just because she slept over 8 quality hours but because the byproduct of that is a calmer nervous system, cleaner blood (we detox at night) and healthier organs. 🧠 ♥️

RELIEF. You ever get that muscle knot in your back between your shoulder blade and spine? I access this with the patient side-lying on the achy side so it wings the scapula out and the rhomboid and trap muscles are open to get the trigger points. This also helps prevent lung punctures as it’s safer than other strategies. This patient responded really well to cupping and then some orthopedic acupuncture for trigger point relief.
