“If one person can stop lying it can overturn a Tyranny”
These four individuals were definitely flawed, controversial and have their differences from one another.
One can make the argument that these individuals quotes and acts in life have been taken out of context and misused as talking points for intellectual debate or simply just to inspire people.
These four individuals Definitely have their differences but what do they have in common?
Well they all experienced great adversity in their lives and were subject to Tyranny.
All of them have endured suffering both voluntarily and involuntarily.
Conditions outside of their control befell them and they were forced to make hard decisions.
They chose to speak their truth as they saw it,
Or at least they chose not to speak falsehoods at key moments in their lives.
If you only know one or two of these individuals I highly recommend you learn more about the others.
Even if you know of all of them I implore you to take another look. Study these people.
The mistakes they made and the lessons that they had learned. Study the times that they lived in, what they did and why they did it. Study the effects that it had both in short term and the far reaching effects and how it rippled out into time.
We are living history right now and if we don’t learn from these individuals and the times that they lived through we will unnecessarily suffer that much more for what we have to go through.
