Greetings! I am so excited to announce our upcoming Sound School Training, Sept. 27 - 30 at Maha Rose in Brooklyn, NY. The training will entail basic theory, techniques, philosophies, and musicianship in the practice of sound and healing with a variety of instruments including gong, bowls, monochords, voice, and percussion. Come join me and Jessica Caplan on a 4-day deep dive into healing with sound and music. Limited spots available.

if you are a clinician, student, licensed creative arts therapist or someone who has benefited from the amazing healing and connection that happens in a creative arts therapy session, please join the powerful and dedicated team of The LCAT Advocacy Coalition in Albany on Wednesday April 17th for LCAT Advocacy Day from 10am-3pm for educational tabling, legislator visits & a press conference with our bill sponsors as we push for Medicaid and commercial health insurance coverage for the valuable psychotherapy services that Licensed Creative Arts Therapists (LCATs) provide to New Yorkers!

All are welcome - LCATs, other licensed professionals, students, community supporters and more!

Hello! Man we had some snow upstate! Whoo! I almost had energy after my bout of Covid to make my semi-annual snowy expression of an otherworldly being. Anyway, this weekend I'll be stepping away from my snow carving "talents" and back to making some sounds. First, with my buddies of Sonic Tonic at the Kiva in Marbletown, NY at 7:30 with Peter Blum, Thomas Workman and Ev Mann. Then, on Sunday I'll be back at Maha Rose for a solo sound bath meditation starting at 6pm in Brooklyn. That one is filling up fast. Lastly but not leastly, I'll be collaborating with my dear friend Elana Bell at Valley Spirit Acupuncture in Beacon, NY as part of Joule L'Adara's Sounding Soak Series there starting at 6pm. We'll be bringing you sounds for the Wolf Moon! Come in from the cold and I hope to see you at these offerings this month!

Heartfelt wishes for a beautiful rest of 2023! It's been interesting to say the least. May our brothers and sisters all over the world know peace and equanimity. May the world slow down just a bit so we can focus on some of what matters: love, connection, joy, compassion, curiosity and creativity. I invite you to join us in Mexico in 2024 for a 5-day immersion in sound. This will be an intimate retreat for anyone looking to learn or expand their knowledge about sound through techniques in Deep Listening, voicework, meditation, improvisation, circle singing, drumming, and hands-on healing. There are 3 meals a day, yoga, swimming, and sound walks in nature. We rarely give ourselves the opportunity to dive deeply into something and this is an opportunity for deeply restorative, joyful, connecting, and heart-opening work through sound practices in a beautiful setting.

Prayers run deeper this Hanukkah.
I stand with Israel today and always.
