As we reflect on September 11th, we honor the lives lost and the bravery of so many who stepped forward on that tragic day. This anniversary reminds us not only of the pain, but also of the resilience, compassion, and unity that carried us through 🇺🇸

Today, we pause together, remember, and hold space for gratitude, for the freedoms we have, the people we cherish, and the communities we continue to build.

World Meditation Day & SLPC • As we wrap up Day FOUR of our Student Leader Program Celebration (SLPC), we’d love to a give HUGE shoutout to the Student Leaders who traveled from Oneida, WI last week to take part in the event along with other students from NYC!

In addition to sharing the ways in which Brain Power Wellness supports them, they shared parts of their culture and who they truly are through song and meditation 🧘🏽while dressed in their traditional ribbon clothing. It was a heartwarming experience for all, thank you so so much for coming!!! 🧠💪🏾✨

Cupid, where? In the spirit LOVE OF ALL KINDS, we at Brain Power Wellness encourage you to practice Bow & Arrow: a “win-win” exercise that enhances your well-being on multiple levels! This simple act of shooting an arrow of loving-kindness to someone who needs it helps you stretch your muscles, improve the health of our heart and lungs, and increases our levels of all those “feel good” hormones, dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin. Give someone, anyone - a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or even your pet - the chance to receive your love and experience their own boost in those same hormones! 🏹💕

Martin Luther King Jr. Day was on Jan 20th but everyday, let his words of wisdom and courage pe*****te our every decision!

We all hold big and small dreams in our hearts: dreams about what we hope for ourselves, family, friends, and our hopes for the whole world–like the dream Dr. King shared in his famous speech back in 1963. The exercise challenge for this week is about keeping those dreams alive! Let’s recall what MLK said during his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech:

“...with patient and firm determination
we will press on until every valley of despair
is exalted to new peaks of hope...”

Please share with us : What do you aspire to creating in the world? No matter what your dreams are, with small steps, you can get them a little closer to becoming a reality. 💭

Gratitude is often called a “relationship emotion” because it exists in relationship to others, yourself, or what you are appreciating. On this season of giving thanks, here’s a brief lesson about why gratitude is so vital to our health on all levels! 💐

"My favorite experience was being able to connect with the teachers and educators. To all focus on the same mission as far as helping the youth, hoping the school community, and bringing resources that we feel are going to help them do better, feel better, and you know, just make the community more wholesome." - Kevin P.
