It’s been a great year for my flowers at Prema Soma! I’ve been calling it my Chakra Garden, as I planted shades of red and purple—-the two ends of the spectrum and 7 chakra wheel. The Red is really standing out, its for these times. Color therapy wise it supports our sense of safety and security…our foundation. Drinking in this vibrant color each day supports our sense of inner strength and resilience.

I usually plant other colors, but red was the only shade available from the organic farmer at the market that day.
And so it is, perfect.

This is an invitation to devote eight weeks this winter to deepening into your body space, to turning inside to experience your inner landscape. The winter season naturally turns us inwards. Aligning with that, you will be guided to sink more deeply into the moss and the holding earth below it. Into the quiet, into the darkness and space. What is incubating there, what is wanted to be heard, be born, to be created, to be MOVED?

Here are Stewart Hoyt and Rob Murphy after teaching an amazing FALLing into Nature class in Prospect Park earlier this month. Wonderful and healing experience for everyone on a beautiful day. I held space from home as I had Covid (darn that Covid!), Stewart stepped up to lead all in grounding and expansive embodiment. Rob brought Grandfather fire to us and guided the group on an ancestral healing journey. All beneath an elder Oak tree, with a falcon visitor, and steeped in palpable connection with the vital life force of Nature.

I’ve really been enjoying the flowers that have been ‘volunteering’ at the studio this summer, here is a sunflower, and in the windowbox a purple datura. We didn’t plant these! They must be coming from seeds put in the soil years ago.
