This past week, Miraglia Funeral Chapels had the honor of participating in the NYPD National Night Out events with both the 62nd and 68th Precincts, celebrating over 40 years of building stronger police-community partnerships.

We joined fellow community leaders and families where the night was filled with laughter, rides for the kids, live music, and meaningful tributes.

It was a privilege to witness the awards presentation honoring local civic leaders including Ansen Tang, Frank Naccarato, Inna Lukyanenko, Jack Spatola, Wai Yee Chan, and Ross Faillace, all recognized for their outstanding efforts in strengthening the Brooklyn community.

A particularly touching moment was the dedication of a memorial plaque to the late Eileen LaRuffa, a longtime volunteer whose legacy continues to inspire. Her son Dominic accepted the honor on behalf of the family, surrounded by friends and fellow volunteers.

Our mission extends beyond serving families during times of loss — we are proud to stand alongside the men and women who work daily to make our community safer, more united, and more compassionate.

Thank you to the NYPD, community councils, and all those who came out to support such an important cause. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you.

🇺🇸 Happy Birthday, America.
Today, as we celebrate 249 years of independence, we take a moment to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who helped shape this great nation.

We reflect on the countless lives — past and present — who have defended the freedoms we cherish. We remember with gratitude the service members, first responders, and everyday heroes whose legacies inspire us to be better, kinder, and stronger together.

May this Independence Day be a time for reflection, remembrance, and appreciation of the values that unite us as one nation.

Wishing everyone a safe, meaningful, and peaceful 4th of July.

🇺🇸 Honoring 250 Years of Service & 200 Years of Legacy at Fort Hamilton 🇺🇸

We were proud to stand alongside neighbors, veterans, and community leaders in celebration of two historic milestones: the 250th Birthday of the United States Army and the 200th Anniversary of Fort Hamilton, right here in Brooklyn.

Fort Hamilton has stood as a symbol of strength and dedication since its cornerstone was laid in 1825. As one of the oldest Army installations in the nation, its legacy is deeply intertwined with our city’s and our country’s history.

The evening was filled with powerful tributes, musical performances, a breathtaking fireworks display, and moments of deep reflection. Among the many in attendance were proud members of local Kiwanis Clubs, the Knights of Columbus, Civic Associations, Veteran groups, and other outstanding charitable and community organizations — all gathered together in honor of those who serve and protect.

We understand the importance of legacy, honor, and remembrance. From the Revolutionary War to present-day service, the U.S. Army has shaped our nation with unwavering dedication. We remain deeply committed to honoring those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice, and to serving the families who carry on their memory.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the Fort Hamilton Garrison and all who made this event a true celebration of courage, sacrifice, and community spirit.

Let us continue to honor the lives of those who built this nation, protected its freedoms, and shaped our communities. May we never forget the price of peace, nor the heroes who made it possible.

This Memorial Day, we honored the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is the foundation upon which our freedoms stand, and their courage echoes through every generation.

At Miraglia Funeral Chapels, Inc., we are deeply humbled by their legacy. As a funeral home with nearly 140 years of serving families in New York City, we understand the weight of grief—and the importance of remembrance.

To the families of the fallen, we hold you in our hearts. Your loved ones will never be forgotten. Their service, their sacrifice, and their spirit live on.

May we never forget. May we always honor.
God bless the fallen, their families, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸

🌟 Celebrating Community, Celebration, & Giving Back! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Frank and the Life Center of New York in Brooklyn for hosting another fantastic St. Patrick’s Day Lunch & Dance! 🎉🍀 The event was filled with joy, laughter, and incredible performances by the O’Malley Irish Dance Academy, bringing the true spirit of St. Patrick’s Day to life through music and dance! 💃☘️

Additionally, a heartfelt thank you to Bobby Daquara and Lamar Peters for organizing a wonderful fundraiser at The Greenhouse Café in Bay Ridge. 🎶🍽️ This event, held in honor of Haley Daquara, was not only a celebration of community but also a tribute to remarkable individuals who make a difference every day. It was an honor to recognize incredible community leaders, including:

🏆 Elaine Delaney – Relay for Life Brooklyn
🏆 Frank Naccarato – FIAO & Maimonides
🏆 Dr. Nadine Montemarano – Cardiologist
🏆 Kristen Harring – Maimonides Pediatric Nurse

The presence of so many incredible charitable organizations made the day even more special. Representatives from the Knights of Columbus, Columbettes, Kiwanis, various Federations, and many more came together, demonstrating the strength and unity of our community. 💙💛

This was truly a day to remember—filled with food, dancing, raffles, and the shared commitment to making a difference. 🎟️💚 Events like these remind us of the power of community, the importance of honoring those who serve, and the joy that comes from celebrating together.

🎉 Congratulations to Maimonides Pediatric Trauma Center on their incredibly successful annual benefit, "Community for Kids"! 👏

We are thrilled to have celebrated this wonderful event, which was filled with heartfelt stories of gratitude, a silent auction, and plenty of music and dancing thanks to the Mgm Guarnera Brothers. A special congratulations to the honorees: Camille & Stefano Filippazzo, Michael Brincat, and Nick Iacoviello—your dedication and contributions are truly inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you to the sponsors and supporters who made this event so impactful. It was inspiring to see such a strong turnout from groups like FIAO (Il Centro Community Center), Knights of Columbus, Lions, Rotary, and the Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn. And what a testament to community support to have representation from not one, not two, not three, but FOUR Kiwanis Groups within the Brooklyn Division—Ben Bay, Dyker Heights-Boro Park, Gravesend, & Liberty!

It’s events like these that remind us of the power of community and the importance of coming together for such an incredible cause. Thank you, Maimonides, for all that you do for our children and families. 💙

This warm and wonderful time of year allows us to cherish our friends, family, and the community we call home.

Thanksgiving is a moment to reflect on the stories we share, the memories we create, and the traditions that bring us closer together. It’s a time to give thanks for what we have and to celebrate the love and kindness that surrounds us.

At Miraglia Funeral Chapels Inc. we are especially grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us for over 130 years.

This year, we are proud to partner with the Dyker Heights Boro Park Kiwanis and Romeo Meats to provide turkeys to local families in need and toys for children during the upcoming holiday season.

We are deeply thankful for you, our friends and neighbors, for being part of our extended family. Wishing you a joyous Thanksgiving filled with love, gratitude, and cherished moments.

🎁✨ We're proud to partner with the Dyker Heights Boro Park Kiwanis once again as a drop-off location for this year's Toy Drive! This is a wonderful opportunity to brighten the holiday season for local children in need in our community.

If you'd like to spread joy, you can drop off new toys and donations in our designated toy bins throughout the week. Our goal is to fill several boxes, as we have in many years past, and every contribution helps bring smiles to the faces of our neighborhood children.

For more information, or if you have any questions, please call us at 718-236-2442 or stop by during our business hours. Together, let's make this season one to remember!
