The NYCACS East Harlem piano recital was MAGICAL! It was amazing to see every studentā€™s talent, and watch the pride on their parentsā€™ faces.Ā  Every day we strive to celebrate all the amazing things that individuals with autism can accomplish. A special thank you to Assemblymember Edward Gibbs for attending and always supporting our school!

The learning that takes place within our walls is remarkable and goes far beyond the bounds of traditional education. Students are learning to speak and communicate for the first time, to tolerate medical visits and sit still for a haircut, to take turns with friends, to use a restroom independently, to hold down a job and, in some cases, travel to and from on their own. These are just a few of the many, many skills being taught at NYC Autism Charter Schools every day ā€“ skills that are tailored to meet each studentā€™s unique needs and help them reach their unique potential.

Because despite the incredible demand for our services, the funding we receive from the NYC Department of Education has been frozen for the last seven years.
