Cheesy Egg Toast (with Ham) in the Air Fryer
This is great for breakfast or even a quick lunch when you don't feel like doing anything.
What you'll need:
Four pieces of bread
2 to 4 eggs, depending on how many you want
2 to 4 slices of ham
½ cup of shredded cheese, like cheddar or mozzarella
Butter that has been softened
Salt and pepper
A little parsley on top (optional)
How to do it:
To begin, spread a little butter on each slice of bread. This helps it get nice and crispy in the air fryer.
Now, with the back of a spoon or your fingers, gently press down in the middle of each slice to make a small well. Don't press too hard; just enough to keep the egg in place.
Put a piece of ham on each piece of bread, folding it slightly to fit.
First, crack an egg into a small bowl. Then, carefully pour it into the middle of the bread. This makes it easier and cleaner.
Put cheese all over the place, and if you like it extra cheesy, put some on top.
Frying in the air:
Set your air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
Put the toasts in the basket. If you need to, use parchment paper so they don't stick.
Depending on how runny or set you like your eggs, cook them for 7 to 10 minutes.
7–8 minutes = soft yolk
9–10 minutes more to set Finish:
Take them out and put some salt, pepper, and parsley on top.
Let them sit for a minute, then eat them while the cheese is still gooey.
A little tip:
If your bread is thin, use thicker slices or double layer it. If you don't, the egg might leak through.
