The last few years of therapy and mental health work have turned Simone Biles into one of the most unstoppable forces in Paris during these Summer Olympics.

Thay has been a guiding light for so many of us for decades. The countless books I have read and reread over and over again, each time finding something new to contemplate, and improve my skills as a therapist and a human. I am grateful for the many lessons. May we all serve as humbly in your honor.

The International Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism announces that our beloved teacher Thich Nhat Hanh has passed away peacefully at Từ Hiếu Temple in Huế, Vietnam, at 00:00hrs on 22nd January, 2022, at the age of 95. We invite our global spiritual family to take a few moments to be still, to come back to our mindful breathing, as we together hold Thay in our hearts in peace and loving gratitude for all he has offered the world.

It’s important to be mindful of media consumption. Reliving trauma and experiencing vicarious trauma from social media, print, and tv can increase feelings of anxiety, fear, pain, and loss. It can be helpful and healing to have a plan for self care when you traumatic events.
