Spoken Heroes celebrated at the Disability Unite Festival! We’re so excited to have partnered with for their 6th annual festival, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act ( ). As we launch our series, our amazing interns, Damiano and Roman, did an incredible job embodying our mission of bridging the gap between able-bodied and disability communities. They collaborated by conducting interviews at the festival. Amazing job to our interns.

We’re excited to share the accomplishments of our exceptional intern, Damiano, who is pursuing Entertainment Law at Montclair State University. Damiano recently had the invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the prestigious 2025 Roc Nation UJC Summit.

In our Networking and Public Speaking training, we emphasize the importance of professionalism and making lasting connections. Damiano truly embodied these principles as he went the extra mile to present himself in the best possible light, both in appearance and demeanor.

His outstanding performance enabled him to establish new relationships and broaden his professional network. We extend our deepest gratitude to and the team for partnering with Spoken Heroes and offering our interns such enriching and rewarding learning experiences. ✨

Spoken Heroes is excited to kick off our summer program next week! We want to thank OK Magazine for their support in following us for the past few months, and their coverage of our 1-year anniversary fundraising celebration.

Thanks to one of our partnerships with the Fox Family Foundation, our heroes (our students) will now receive compensation upon completion of their programs. It has always been our mission to increase disability employment, as we firmly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to work and create a fulfilling life, no matter the challenges one may face. Our program embraces inclusivity, bringing together able-bodied individuals and those with disabilities. We believe in taking action in being the change we want to see by creating these inclusive spaces.

We’d like to thank all attendees, donors, speakers, heroes, alums, our staff, and board members. A special thank you to the Bayonne Lions for all of your support, and providing free eye testing at our events. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission. We’re really happy to announce that a number of heroes from our program at .county.college have already found jobs after completing the program. We’re so proud that our goals are being met and that we’re a part of increasing disability employment. We’re genuinely impressed by our heroes’ progress and what they’ve achieved! As we enter the Fall season and semester, the team is overjoyed to share the success of our Spoken Heroes Institute summer program in various locations, including one of our key affiliates, Essex County College. Together, we’ve had the privilege of transforming students’ lives by helping them find their voice, develop workplace skills, and secure jobs. Seeing the impact of our work on so many individuals has been incredibly rewarding, and we’re excited to continue making a difference with your support.
