Hey y’all, through the pandemic a lot of us have been feeling a little sad, a little lazy, and I assure you I wasn’t immune to those feelings.

Luckily a few good habits of mine helped me stay on track and here they are:

1. Prioritize protein & veggies (and fruit)
2. 7-9 hours of sleep each night
3. Resistance training at least once or twice a week

If you’re way (or just a little) off track from where you want to be, try implementing these 3 simple things. With these in place maintaining or even making progress is going to be very easy. Have a great day!

Thank you CVS for sharing your leftover Pfizer vaccines. I got to the CVS pharmacy an hour before it closed and let them know I was willing to stand by for any leftovers. They ended up with two leftover shots so I got one! I’m grateful to have gotten my first shot early and I hope when you get the chance you’ll get yours too.

Not feeling any kind of side effects aside from a tiny bit of soreness in my left arm. I’m training today, are you?💪🏼 💥

How intense are your training sessions? Are you working to improve or working out simply as an energy dump?

Stay safe but push yourself. Unless your workout’s purpose is low intensity steady state cardio, there’s no reason for your session to be lengthily. With safety first, use more weight, do more reps, or a harder variation so you can get within a reasonable proximity to failure sooner and go live your life!

I hope YOU have a great day today!

Does a positive attitude lead to a healthy and fit body and mind? Yes, it’s only one piece of the puzzle but it’s a big piece!

We’re all dealing with seasonal depression, regular depression, financial stress, Covid stress, self esteem stress and the list goes on.

Just know you are beautiful, talented, and worthy just as you are. Things will continue to get better. Any amount of self love, training, or thoughtful nutrition you give yourself is a gift. Find a shard of hope and hang on! And eat more protein!

Sometimes you need to ease up. Sometimes you need to work harder. How do you which it is?

If you’re really not sure check your blood pressure and/or resting heart rate. Put your numbers against others of your age/biology online and make the call for yourself.

Your BP and HR will get “worse” the harder you consistently work. I always say progress isn’t in a straight line and this is why. Eventually your hard work will need a break. You’ll need to know how to maintain your progress while resting and letting your BP and HR settle back into normal/elite ranges. Then you can get back at it. Lather, rinse, repeat.

This is why coaches are needed, it’s really hard to do all this and make the right calls yourself. It’s almost as hard as taking your own picture. Shoutout to for the 📸 & for the 💇‍♂️
