Origins
Restorative Thai Bodywork is a new mobile Thai Massage service in NYC.
“Thai Massage or Thai Yoga Massage” is an ancient healing system stemming from Indian Ayurvedic principles which incorporates firm rhythmic pressure along the (Sen) energy lines of the body, pointed acupressure, compression and assisted yoga stretches to relieve tension and stiffness in the body and relieve general fatigue and discomfort, allowing our minds to clear and presently realign with our bodies. This sequence is practiced on a firm mat on the floor without the need for lotions or oils; the recipient also wears loose comfortable clothes for the duration.
Chloe came back from her training at The Sunshine Network school near Chiang Mai, Thailand at the beginning of 2018 with a passionate urge to offer her skill to the people of New York. She discovered that this practice has a universally beneficial effect on all bodies regardless of their flexibility or experience. She deeply believes in the accumulative benefit of this technique and has seen the difference it makes to busy and stressed New Yorkers, restoring a sense of peace and wellness after each session. Chloe takes care to create/ provide a calming and meditative atmosphere regardless of the location- she is happy to make home visits for each client’s optimal comfort.
Giving ones self the time to fully surrender in the hands of another and allow the body to gently let go of tension in an easeful and restful way is an invaluable gift in our current environment. Compassion and mindfulness are the tools that will unite the world!
