E’s Battle Buddies is a movement created by Ethan Sandlofer to show that little kids can big things. Ethan lost his mother at the age of 2 to an extremely rare cancer called Angio Sarcoma. He has taken a devastating situation and turned it into something incredible. Ethan created a crusade to save lives, help families in need and promote healthy lifestyles. Our KIDS ONLY events provide high energy, interactive activities such while raising money and awareness for lifesaving rare cancer research and at the same time teaching kids at a young age the importance of giving back. Kids from 6-18 years old have the opportunity to register, raise money and battle to defeat rare cancer! Half of all patients are fighting a rare cancer. About 50 percent of people with cancer have a rare cancer. Rare cancers include all types of pediatric cancers, brain, pancreatic, ovarian, stomach, sarcomas and many others. Research on many rare cancers is drastically underfunded and leaves patients with limited or no treatment options. E’s Battle Buddies is committed to changing that reality. E’s Battle Buddies are raising funds for rare cancer patients and their families. Every donation to E’s Battle Buddies is directly allocated to research at their partner hospital, the Child Life Department or supporting families in need. The donations go to pioneering research and clinical trials, which have already led to new and better treatments for cancer patients worldwide. E’s Battle Buddies goal is to have researchers from around the country collaborate and lead the way in developing new ways to diagnose and treat cancer. Whether it is paying for travel expenses for the cancer patient and their families to get to and from treatments or purchasing prosthetics for patients who have had amputations due to cancer, E's Battle Buddies is committed to create a better quality of life for people fighting the battle of rare cancer.
