Liberty & limits
Join movement scientist, multimedia author, coordination coach, and Feldenkrais trainer Larry Goldfarb, CFT, RSME, Ph.D., for a free summertime lesson about the importance of limits and the meaning of liberty in Moshe’s methodology.
Scheduled between Juneteenth and July 4th in the States and Bastille Day in France, this class explores the nature of freedom and what it means to realize your potential. To make the program as convenient as possible — after all, the easy way is hard enough — we are offering it twice:

Whether you’re new to Awareness Through Movement lessons or are already a fan, you are welcome to attend either session or both, as your schedule allows.
We offer this program as a public service. There is no cost whatsoever to participate in these events.
Classes happen in real-time online via Zoom. You can participate from wherever you are, using the internet-connected device — smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer — of your choice.
You may leave your camera on during the class, but this is not required.
These classes are live events. Though we plan to record the proceedings for possible future use, please note that we will not be making any recordings available any time soon.
Gait flexibility reflects a person’s ability to adapt as they walk on varying surfaces and through obstacles. Research shows that the higher your level of gait flexibility, the less prone to falling to falling your will be. This short sequence might surprise you in what it does for your stationary balance. Take a circuit around an obstacle course before and after this short sequence to see if it improves your performance.
All you need is a towel. 🌊

Sonja Johansson is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitionercm in private practice since 1999, a Bones For Life® Teacher/Trainer, Pilates instructor and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.
Sonja brings her years of experience in dance and theatre to all her teaching. She was introduced to Feldenkrais and Pilates over 25 years ago at drama college in Australia, and soon realized that Feldenkrais was a uniquely powerful method for improving peoples lives. She completed her Feldenkrais practitioner training in1999, and began a private practice and continues to work with some of the finest master teachers in the method.
Sonja uses principles from the Feldenkrais Method®to inform her Pilates teaching as well as fitness training with groups and individuals. She is passionate about improving people’s lives by imparting a greater awareness of their functional movement. She specializes in work with those recovering from injury, neurological issues, performing artists and seniors. She maintains a private clientele and leads workshops across the country and around the world.
