As I continue to grow and work on myself, I become more comfortable being open about my own journey because I recognize it's really all of our journeys. I've realized that many of us struggle internally with the same insecurities, boundary issues, internal dialogs and conflicts when it comes to our well-being. I've learned there is safety and healing in normalizing this, instead of hiding and harboring shame. Asking for support and wanting to discover a new way is a gift we give to each other as human beings.

In the words of Pema Chodron, "We work on ourselves in order to help others, but also we help others in order to work on ourselves."

This couldn't be truer for me and I'm grateful. So, in the spirit of opening myself up and also the possibility of being helpful to others, I wanted to share my updated coaching site. Although I've been coaching in different capacities since I began this journey, I've recently clarified and redefined what type of support I offer.

Please feel free to reach out and also share with others.

As some of you may know, I've had my fair share of Vestibular issues and it's no fun. I was honored when Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) reached out to me to see if I'd be interested in writing an article about how gut health can contribute to vertigo, dizziness and vestibular migraines. It may not be THE reason for these disorders but it can be a contributing factor as it partially was for me. Vestibular dysfunction is complicated and there are MANY other factors not mentioned in the article, but a good place to start is always the gut! Please share with anyone you know who may be struggling with this and looking for answers.

A healthy gut microbiota plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including digestion, nutrient absorption, immune system regulation, and even mood regulation. Gut health can play a role in managing some vestibular conditions.

You’re not destined for bad health because “it runs in your family” or “it’s a normal part of aging.” It’s NOT normal to feel mediocre, even as you age!

Just because you’re getting older and have bloating, brain fog, fatigue, or weight gain doesn’t mean it’s “normal.”

If you have a family history of heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, IBS, autoimmune disease, arthritis, anxiety or (fill in the blank), doesn’t mean you’re destined for it because “it’s genetic.”

Dis-ease is NOT a normal part of aging, and your genes are only responsible for about 10% of your health while the other 90% has to do with your environment and how you live your life.

You CAN take charge of your health to feel your best at ANY age, and a good starting place is by exploring your gut. When your gut is impaired, it can affect many other parts of your body.
